The player has since tweeted that ON3 is ... unsurprisingly, full of shit:Tennessee is dead with NIL and with in state rival in Nashville. Vandy is the SEC's Indiana.
lol....gotta love the world of everyone trying to be first as opposed to taking the time to make sure they are right. The player has since tweeted that ON3 is ... unsurprisingly, full of shit:
Yup. ON3 is just a high volume ... BS machine.lol....gotta love the world of everyone trying to be first as opposed to taking the time to make sure they are right.
I love that he tweeted it with “he tells me” and the player is like, no I didn’t lollol....gotta love the world of everyone trying to be first as opposed to taking the time to make sure they are right.
Look at it through the SEC prism. Not sure either would be true. Tennessee is likely going to be more depleted by opt outs in the bowl game. Also, it's hard to see momentum going into next season when you know the roster will be quite different from this season.
Yeah I got excited for Vandy and got caught by the On3 trap. I typically look for another source when I see On3.lol....gotta love the world of everyone trying to be first as opposed to taking the time to make sure they are right.
They say they are superior and then complain the B1G team they played was too tough for them. Priceless! The problem isn't that they scheduled a marque non-con match-up. The problem is they weren't good enough to win it!!!The narrative that Texas should never schedule a marque non-conference match-up like tOSU because it hurt them. It's actually boosting them. The loss to Florida is hurting them. Playing only 9 P4 teams is also likely hurting them.
I am surprised that he didn't write that he has no interest in sitting behind Pavia until he finally "graduates" in 2030.The player has since tweeted that ON3 is ... unsurprisingly, full of shit:
And we all know Pavia is working on some sort of lawsuit to get more years of eligibility because the dude has zero shot of making it in the NFL as a QB. :}I am surprised that he didn't write that he has no interest in sitting behind Pavia until he finally "graduates" in 2030.
Looking at reports he isn't exactly shutting down the recruiting sites as being wrong so he may still be a flip afterall and the recruiting sites managed to get the scoop before the kid could pull his hat switchero at the signing day or something like that.Yeah I got excited for Vandy and got caught by the On3 trap. I typically look for another source when I see On3.
Completely unrelated, but looking at the top recruits list, 6 of the top 26 HS recruits on that list are from the DMV area. Add in the UnderArmour money (which I guess is drying up now), and how in the bleep is Maryland never that good? Talk about doing less with more.Tennessee is dead with NIL and with in state rival in Nashville according to the Parody Account.
Iowa was never ranked until week 11 when they were #20 in the first CFP Rankings. They proceeded to lose to Oregon and USC drop out. Tennessee was #25 and only 3 loss team in top 25 on week 11. Tennessee was rank as high as #11 after being 5-1 and starting the season at #24.SEC = talking heads of ESPN, History of excellence with Alabama and home turf "playoff" victories -- the ability to create a narrative that suits them well. The narrative the SEC was deeper and the B1G is only 3 great teams won the AP rankings. Imagine what Iowa would have been like if they were treated like a Tennessee. They played better comp, won more and still did not get treated like a mid of the road SEC team because of the ESPN narrative that the B1G is week except for the top. It didn't matter that the B1G destroyed the comp in last years Bowls and will do it again this year.
To be honest I hope the ACC gets left without a playoff bid and SEC gets 5 or 6 teams. This way the ACC and B12 will realize the B1G was doing them a favor with a 4-4-2-2-1 system. I hope this system gets vote in because it will minimize the talking head machine that is owned by the SEC.
Think they are better than Oregon?I do enjoy that Texas acts like if they just hadn't scheduled OSU it would all be fine. Despite they still have a terrible loss to Florida and got beat by 25 by GA. would they probably be in? yeah. do i feel super confident they're better than BYU, Miami, Utah, etc. that's in that band? Absolutely not
I have zero doubt you're going to see the SEC desire to go to an exclusive G5 or lesser OOC schedule aside from the rivalry games that some want to maintain
Maryland area has always produced high end individuals, but they don't seem to have a team culture that produced good teams.Completely unrelated, but looking at the top recruits list, 6 of the top 26 HS recruits on that list are from the DMV area. Add in the UnderArmour money (which I guess is drying up now), and how in the bleep is Maryland never that good? Talk about doing less with more.
They got to find a way to avoid Oregon playing Indiana or tOSU in the second round. That shouldn't be how it works, but I want to see as many SEC/B1G match-ups as possible.Think they are better than Oregon?
Bama already scared of us in 2032, ‘33Kirk on this subject:
BTW, I'm almost, but not quite, to the point of advocating going full Indiana on this and scheduling only creampuffs in non-con. Early games against peers like Cal, UNC, MS State etc. are fun and a good measure where the team is at but might be going away.
Everyone knows the SEC is undefeated in like the last 10-15 years in bowl games they care about. They win, then it's all about pounding their chest. They lose, then it's no big deal because the team wasn't really playing hard.Look at it through the SEC prism.
Opt outs or not, if the SEC has more bowl victories than the B10, and especially if any wins are against B10 teams, every SEC coach, talking head, fan, and ESPN will deem that as proof positive that the SEC "deserves" to get more teams in the playoffs.
Nobody will blink an eye if 50% of tOSU, indiana, or Oregon have players sit, or portal out.
It’s an odd decision any way you slice itYou could place Notre Dame into this same argument. They do have a 3-2 record against FBS bowl teams but ranked higher than Miami, a team they lost to. It doesn't seem like a 3-2 record against above average teams would be playoff worthy, but I guess that's par for the course?
Would our band play "Rocky Top"?Would love to face Tennessee in a bowl game. Beating them Nashville would send a statement about the two leagues and would give us some momentum into next year
