It's time for a change! Clean house after the Badgers game.
-Zero wins against Michigan and Ohio State.
-1-8 vs Iowa (Hawkeyes have been mostly mediocre during Fleck's tenure)
-4-4 vs Wisconsin and probably gonna lose next week.
-Two catastrophic collapses to NW in your last two meetings against them.
-Bottom 4th in the conference each year in recruiting.
-Good coordinators leave for same job elsewhere.
-Losing record in Homecoming games.

I'm fine keeping pj

But there needs to be changes to the staff and increased budget.

We should've been able to keep Heatherton from going to Miami
If a young guy gets offered Miami, we’re gonna lose him, but we have plenty. Let me repeat plenty of money to pay for a good solid coordinator on both side sides of the ball

I can live with losing a coordinator to Miami. He might have gone even if we matched the $$. But losing coordinators to Rutgers and Michigan State should not be happening.

True. Although Ciarocca is from out east and wanted to be east

Until you get enough NIL to be competitive you are just making a change for the sake of making a change and without much probability of improvement
The coaching staff needs to look long and hard at how NIL funds are allocated. Where do they have to spend at a high level and where can they get away with a less expensive option.

For example, would the offense be better this season if the money given to Darius Taylor was allocated to the OL? Taylor is a great player but I suspect spending more on OL provides a greater return on investment.

On defense, they need to spend on the trenches and then identify skills that are non-negotiable and Moneyball together a defense focusing on those traits.

Additionally, PJ needs to be quick to fire when it’s obvious things are not working. Danny Collins is not ready to be a defensive coordinator and it’s obvious to everyone. How many B1G offenses have had their best game of the year against the Gophers? Every single one?

Ya think maybe folks get tired of PJ and 75 buzzwords you need to mix into every conversation? We could’ve matched those contracts if we wanted to and or if those folks had any desire to stick around. We are short NIL money we are not short money to pay our coaches.

Looks like your first post this year...but you pattern is pretty clear.

This is exactly my point. Good coordinators bolt the second they can.

We have heatherman an extension and raise prior to him going to Miami.....

We sure seem to be short on pay for coaches given who they hire.

I’m sure every head coach is tough to work for to some extent but if they win assistants are willing to work for him.

Nick Saban went ballistic on Lane Kiffin on the sideline but that didn’t stop anyone from working for him.

Right, and then he got the Miami offer which 95% of folks in the college profession would’ve likely taken even if you matched the money that Miami offered him.

And yet you're trying to pin it on him being tired of PJ. Your bias is showing

Totally different thing getting yelled at from time to time and having to deal with PJ‘s culture every minute of every day. Just telling you to look up how much money the Big Ten pays us as our split we are rolling in money to pay our coaches and to pay whatever other Bills come due. NIL is an entirely different matter, but we are in the money conference and we have all kinds of money.

NIL is not why we lost to Northwestern.
It’s why they can’t win consistently at a high level. It’s also likely a contributing factor why coaches leave. Coaches that want to move up in their career know it’s easier to look good and build a resume with better players. That and many other schools pay assistants more as well. It all comes down to money for players and coaches and relative to other major conference programs the gophers aren’t anywhere near the top.

Like Barry Switzer used to say, “it’s the Johnnie’s and Joe’s’ more then the x and o’s”

Not saying that about Heatherman at all I think that’s more of an issue with Rossi and Ciriocca. I know I’m not spelling that name right.

They aren’t rolling in money when they have to financially support all these others teams at the university as very little booster money comes in for any of the sports, atleast relative to their peer programs that they want to beat.

Respectfully, you're retarrded. Respectfully.

Whatever gets you through the day.
I get it, you don't like PJ and want to blame him for everything.

I didn't realize you were personally connected to prior coordinator who left and know reason..

PJ chose the coach. There's unspent money in the pool.
