Can’t say there’s much of anything to “love” in this draft to pull the plug on a guy you’ll have like 12 games of data on and have been pretty firm on thinking he can be fixed. Even Ponder got 3 years

On paper, it looks like an extremely weak QB class and very strong defensively.

My point is that I wouldn't give KAM the chance to make another QB evaluation and/or draft selection if JJM proves to be a bust. The guy has wasted a TON of Draft capital with nothing to show for it.

Kwesi really needs McCarthy and Turner to show progress.
If no progress from these two and we only win a couple more games, I think most fans would understand Kwesi being let go. Let someone else run the 2026 draft.

That's not happening, no matter how the rest of the season goes.

QB's typically get 20 games before you really know. JJM will have 12 under his belt by the end of the season.

Turner, finally getting a start in place of Greenard, had 7 tck, a sack, 2 TFL's and a PD.

The job of the GM is to assemble the roster and do it within the confines of the cap. Every time someone gets pissed about Lewis Cine or Booth, they need to remember Aaron Jones, Van Ginkel, Greenard, Byron Murphy, Eric Wilson, J. Mason, I. Rodgers, Cashman; not to mention a bunch of late round success and UDFA's that have contributed.

Cine couldn't even make it onto the field. That's a bust, for which I still blame DC Ed Donatell and the previous scouting department. Turner is so far from a bust right now, it's ridiculous.

This Front Office and coaching staff won 34 games in their first 3 years. Nobody is going anywhere anytime soon, whether we like it or not.

Why did we draft him?

You can hate Sean Payton all you want ... and that's a very good person to hate .... but he passed on McCarthy for Nix. Falcons passed on McCarthy.


We wanted Maye and supposedly made an offer ... but we were too cheap to go all in.

Exactly correct.

Worst possible way to do it. This roster won't last more than maybe one more year.


That's not how you do it with an unknown commodity at QB.

OR

You sign a vet to try to win now and let the kid sit and learn.


Looking like this is becoming a blunder.



Love the last drive. Was awesome. But we lost because of how awful the rest of the 58 mins football was on offense.

The drops have noticeably gone up while JJM is the QB.

There were some legit drops, the Hockenson one in particular.

But you are absolutely correct. Throwing a fastball is harder to catch.

Winning at Home should in theory be easier, but if they just equaled that they would be 6-4 and in solid position to advance to the Playoffs.

I've noticed this about O'Connell since he started here. He loves to throw on 3rd/4th & short, like an insane amount.

They will give him next year as well, if need be. They’re a wee bit more patient than the average fan.

Until the Vikings’ go-ahead drive, which began with 3:14 remaining in the fourth quarter, McCarthy hadn’t completed a pass in the second half.

You don’t win many games that way.
