Holy man lost faith? These are truly troubling times.I followed on the phone and thought that it was over at 14-0. No faith.

I agree but am I the only one who went crazy on those spots? I thought they got it on third drown by a half a yard terrible spot.I think we also got it on forth down but that was close.Learn how to get one fu@“ing yard.
And, when you know they are gashing you on the run, stop the fricking run.
PJ doesn’t deserve the win with the end of the first half work. In last two minutes the offense couldn’t get a yard. Defense couldn’t stop anything, special teams wasn’t ready when called on. Trifecta of screw up going into halftime.
But yeah, like Drake. Like spreading the ball around.
Per AI: Tanner passed for 396 yards against Purdue in 2019. He had two other games over 300 yards in 2019. In his freshman year (2018) Tanner had one regular season game of 302 yards and a bowl game of 302 yards. No 300+ yard games for Tanner in 2020, 2021 or 2022. AK passed for 319 yards against Wisconsin in 2022; no other 300 yard games for AK in 2022 or 2023. Max had one such game, 320 yards against Maryland, in 2024. Drake’s effort today is something we haven’t seen much of lately. Hope he can keep it up!Morgan had an incredible game vs Purdue one year but that Boilermaker team wasn't as good as this Rutgers team.
Drake has emerged as the much needed leader on offense. He was 31 for 41 (75.6%), 324 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs. He looked totally in charge once the Gophs—in danger of being run off the field—decided to play modern era football. When was the last time we had that QB line? Haven’t checked back, but I think this was a performance by Drake rarely seen by an QB under PJ. If the Gophers can get their defense together, 7-8 wins is suddenly looking possible again.
Grandpa has like $250 million. I’m not sure it’s a concern with this kid.Gonna have to pay Lindsey… Carried the team and clearly has “it”. Spread it around all day.
Run game…hmm but improved a little as the game went on. Enjoy rooting for IJEBOI
Run defense tackling was less than great, or that RB is just good.
On the other hand they contained the Rutgers top receiver
Kerry brown had a hell of a game
Defensive line came through just enough, and the D had67 sacks
WR Smith had a great game. Great size and speed and made the catches today.
After a strong first quarter plus Athan folded up again and the errant snap was perfect at the end.
I’ve been losing faith in the Gophers for decades.Holy man lost faith? These are truly troubling times.

It’s been hinted on the broadcast he took lesser NIL to be here in the first placeI think that’s a litttle presumptuous. Many wealthy are scrooges and/or may not give the kids generational wealth but maybe a lift up. Sure, maybe he has a generational inheritance coming. Even then some people don’t want to feel undervalued or take for granted or are competitive. Maybe he’s playing for fun, don’t know. I don’t know what makes him tick. I do know he’s looking pretty awesome and would hate to give any reason to have a wandering eye.
His Grandfather, Jim Lindsey, played for the Vikes for several years.I heard his family has MN connections, maybe that’s incentive enough.
All those short passes reminded me of the ‘93 Penn St game. Tim Schade is probably singing as well.9 receivers caught passes. Not normal for a first year starter, let alone a Freshman.
Somewhere Jim Wacker is singing The Rouser
Yes, but only on special teams. He was replaced by Mike Gerald.Did Zaquan Bryan play in the 2nd half?
I hear otherwise and I’m happy to hear otherwise sounds like a great family that won’t be driven by a few extra bucks in NIL. That’s a good thing for us I wouldn’t trade the kid for any other quarterback in America. At this stage of his development and this age he’s incredibly good.I think that’s a litttle presumptuous. Seemed similar to the Buffalo game. If the opponent is even close, move the chains and/or check on replay. If the Gophers are close it's for sure not far enough and no check.I agree but am I the only one who went crazy on those spots? I agree, it feels like the only time we get aggressive with play calling is when we're behind and absolutely need to score. Start the game with your foot on the gas and keep it there.Once PJ got past the I love Schiano dribble I thought it was a good press conference overall. He talked about the elite coaching adjustments and I’ll give him that the part about Koi was great but overall we gotta come out early in these games like a house a fire with much better game plans I hope he’s able to look in the mirror and change his best. He’s done so, so many things right to continue to game-plan and game coach in a way that they play with one arm tied behind their back is so silly.
think this is a really large PJ adjustment. he loves tressel ball with high clock control, low possession games where you play slow tempo and run over teams. some teams are built for that, most are not and we for the last 2 years have not. Lindsey in tempo is really a thing of beauty (obviously this is harder say on the road at the Horseshoe)I agree, it feels like the only time we get aggressive with play calling is when we're behind and absolutely need to score. Drake Lindsey is wise and mature for his age. Good football player, best QB talent in my 30 + years being a Gopher fan.Drake stayed calm and played at an elite level to lead this team to victory. Also really proud of the receiving corp and backs for catching almost everything and some of those catches were really tough. Drake and Nelson just missed on I believe three long balls as well. Great job not turning the ball over by the offense.
Defense and Brown had that huge pick. Lots of great sacks as well. I am not sure what was going on a few times with the bad tackling against the Rutgers RB in key spots.

He looks like he’ll be a very nice playerI have not seen his name mentioned much but shoutout #11 Karter Menz. He made his presence felt today with 5 tackles, a sack and 2 TFL.
Good thing Arkansas football isn’t especially attractive. That’s good to hear. I was not aware he was being taken care of to that extent. If he’s happy there, loyal to PJ then compensation isn’t as important or maybe even a factor at all. But, I’m a little surprised this is even a controversial topic. I’ve never known anyone, including wealthy or children of wealthy or grandchildren of wealthy that didn’t expect to be recognized monetarily for their efforts. They build businesses, become physicians, etc etc and none of the AFAIK take less than market income. Getting WAY ahead of things but NIL not being important could also potentially be a negative if things sour for any reason and he decides to listen to blue blood overtures, want to be closer to home, follow a girl etc etc . Same as any workplace.

Good post. I wouldn't care how much my Grandpa is worth. At 18-19 years old, if someone is offering me $3-5M of what would be my own money, I'm taking a listen. It's the reality we're all dealing with in college athletics moving forward IMO.That’s good to hear. I was not aware he was being taken care of to that extent. It’s definitely a deeper wr group, maybe not the top end talent that we’ve seen some years, but probably the deepest group once you look at the third/fourth guy. The wr recruiting has been pretty disappointing post Bateman. I really thought we’d excel there with Fleck’s track record with the position. Maybe it will pick up with a legit QB in place.Just listened to the post game press conference, PJ almost admitted twice to momentum being a big part of this game, but he caught himself lol. He spent quite a bit of time talking about our receiving core. We actually do have a lot of guys who are pretty darn good. Great depth and some decent B10 level talent.
