Spring Season & Roster 2023

I've heard from several people that Grote is an All-American caliber player who was stuck "taking out the trash" for a Cal team with severely below par passing and setting.

It will be a very interesting fall. I know the league is stacked but this Gopher team will be very, very good. Aggressive serving is music to my ears, one of my favorite parts of the game.
Agree---that will be a new facet of the Cook era that will be fun to watch!

There’s just no way all these pins are going to be happy. Grote has two years left. If she waltzes wins the starting RS spot from Crowl, and especially if they don’t run a 6-2 double sub, expect some talented pins to be transferring out. I guess that’s how it goes these days.

Be interesting to see if someone like Hanson can see the writing on the wall and transfers out this May. Schnichels will give it at least one fall, like Hanson did last year. Crowl you’d “think” is the RS starter at this point. Guess we’ll see.

I personally cannot see Gray playing next season Her game IMO is not a good fit for our offense especially, if we want to run a fast paced offense.
Huh? Again, she looked just fine. Plenty good enough to be the DS with Murr coming in for L.
...Minatee has already seen an injury and it is only the Spring Season.
It’s not like she was in a wheelchair. For all we know she could’ve played but since it’s spring there was no point in pushing it.

I like how at the same time you demand that Minnesota wins National Championships, but also doesn't play its best players in order to keep people happy.

Rosters are gonna churn. That's what they do, portal or not.

Is Cook more vocal than McCutcheon was? I do like Cook's positive and instructional vibe that this video clip shows

If Grote is that good and with Crowl, does Schnichels even play that much?? Sure, she can still be a fab 50, just saying.

If rumors are true, the former assistant's (Mansfield) team just beat his former head coach's (KCook) team today 3-2 in Indianola, IA.

I was looking at Kansas State's 2023 roster....half of their 16 player roster consists of Grads and Seniors.

Meh, it's spring. Trying different things, 6-2, playing different players in positions in different sets.

Looking forward to Fall! (tough thing to do as a Minnesotan, jumping over Summer, but alas as a football and volleyball fan it is what it is)
