***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS GOPHERS SPRING GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Dragan Kesich is going to do just fine at Kicker. Really like the RB and WR rooms. I could see them hit the portal at CB and OL.

Evans has NFL potential at RB
Taylor has NFL potential at RB
Tyler has proven he can be a good college RB

The WR room is legit.

Our LBs and starting DBs and Safeties are legit.

I think Smith at DE and undersized white kid could be the help we need in creating a pass rush.

I am a little concerned about the safeties after the starters. I am really concerned about the tackles and a little concerned about the interior OL.

The positives :

We have game breakers at the slot and at RB.
Our LBs read plays really well.

The negatives :

We gave up way too many "would be" sacks.

The backup secondary looked like a backup secondary.

So?

What does that have to do with bringing up Nebraska? You got a little brother complex going on or something?
Not at all. You’re the one responding “so” to every post. I care a lot more about what happens in first game of the year then now.

I’m not as worried at safety because Nubin didn’t play on D today. He is a Winfield level open field tackler.
Little bit worried about OL play. We got 6 guys, but big drop off after. I think we might see PJ go after one more experienced OL man in the portal. An experienced CB wouldn’t hurt either. Spencer and Brockington ran wild against our younger CBs.

Who was held out today?
Walley, Lindenburg, Eastern, Nubin (except one play?) BSF, CAB, Jackson (after 1 quarter?) Kallerup? Carroll?

Spencer looked great. Le'Meke also. but a little eye opening was:
Cole Kramer is a "Dude".
Jordan Nubin I think will murder a wisconsin linebacker just for fun.
Zach Evans going to be fun to watch.
Coleman Bryson is fast and will be "in the way" of a lot of passes.
Overall looks like a shitload of talent in a lot of positions.

Looks like a team that will be pretty nice to watch. Granted it was against each other, but it sure looked like the talent was impressive.

With the format, it's tricky to draw conclusions because the units are mixed up. You're not watching the #1 unit on O or D. you're watching a mix of starters and backups on each side of the ball. I would rather see 1's vs 1's, 2's vs 2's and so forth.

I agree. I said "safeties after the starters".

I love how people are posting that there is even a chance that Kramer sniffs the field this year as QB1.

Why even play the game this year. Nebraska has 40k people at their spring game. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
To be honest, I don't really want to live in a place that has 40k people at a college football spring game. Minnesota has a team in the NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, the Twins (MLB), and Saints (AAA) are at home today, and the Loons played at home last weekend.

If anyone is choosing a 12p practice game with their entertainment dollars then good on them but putting 40k people in the stands for a spring game is not the sign of somewhere you want to be.
