All Things Minnesota Timberwolves 2022-2023 In-Season Thread

I've fired up the trade machine.

CBS article says Mavs and Clippers might be interested.

I think wolves will get garbage for him if they trade him.

Mavs
Hardway
Kluber
Bertans

for Gobert

A shit show. A clown show.

But it’s our shit show. And our clown show.

Beat LA.

Howl Wolves!!
The rules of Minnesota sports dictate that the Wolves will indeed beat LA in a rousing victory. And then get swept by Memphis.

Why? You can not just watch them.
No I can't...I've been addicted since I was a kid and it's the only way for me to save precious time and emotional abuse. The faster they move the faster my health, mood, and general wellbeing take an upswing as they can't continually disappoint me.

:banghead:

Suspend a player in the play-in game. What a bunch of crap. Do they really think they are doing something meaningful? This is one of the dumbest suspensions ever.
Addition by subtraction? I don't think they win yesterday if he had stuck around. I think there is way more than the punch that we are not privy to (yet).

For the Lakers game I think it's a: "Can't win with him, have a snowball's chance in hades to win without him" situation.

Maybe...

If dumb-dumb McDaniels doesn't punch a wall then fine, suspend him. Now we have zero good defenders to guard Labron. Plus, now we have fewer players to deal with the inevitable mass amount of calls Labron will get from his referee buddies.

It just seems like an empty gesture over a no-big-deal moment. Players sometimes get mad at each other. You don't see Golden State suspend Draymond for the same thing.

If the shove on the bench was the only incident, then yes I would say get over it and put him on the plane to LA.

I have a hard time believing that was all there was too it either before or the immediate aftermath in the locker room. It could have escalated even more for all we know.

Also, I have no idea if Gobert is remorseful and apologetic. If there are signs that he is, and the key players are receptive, then let him come back on Friday.

It was reported that he sent a team text apologizing.

Looks like this has more to do with Rudy being hurt than a teaching moment. Hurt his back Saturday and tried to play on Sunday but was struggling. Rest and get ready for OKC in the loser's bracket of the play-in-tournament.
That seems prudent. Not impossible to believe.

I want to know what Anderson was chirping about.

I don't think they win if McDaniels stuck around.

They started him on Ingram, and he literally torched us with McDaniels on him.

They would have gone back to that.

It forced Ant to be on him, who wanted to play defense yesterday.

Certainly plausible that had either Gobert or McDaniels stuck around they would have lost.

You are one of the few that go to the games. Always appreciate your opinion

There's more behind the suspension than Rudy throwing the punch. Maybe he wasn't going to play anyway due to injury. Maybe the players told management they wanted a break from Rudy. (TP went after Rudy when he threw the punch.)

Also, SloMo isn't blameless. All of his "straight talk" stuff is basically him being an asshole. You can only get away with acting like MJ for so long, when you are the fifth or sixth best player on the team, before somebody takes a swing at you. MJ could call somebody a bitch as much as he wanted because he was MJ. Kyle isn't MJ.

This is the craziest team in professional sports. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they win tomorrow night. The floor (stage) will be wide open for Ant.

The Woofies made the A block of PTI. It was not kind.

"The Minnesota Timberwolves major in stupid." - Wilbon

That was one of the kinder comments, other than saying they have some talent/Anthony Edwards.

If given the choice, I'd rather lose to the Lakers, then win and get Denver.

Memphis would beat us again, and I hate that team.

I could handle losing to the Nuggets.

Unless I'm totally misunderstanding, I doubt they play OKC. I'd say a rematch with the Pelicans is far more likely.

watching this game tonight will be like slowing down to gawk at a bad accident on the freeway. most of the people watching will be doing so out of morbid curiosity.
