All Things 2022 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

It only 1 spot. Giants already clinch the playoffs spot with there win today. Seattle only get in with a win and a Lions loss. Detroit need a win and a Seattle loss. Packers get in with a win period.
7 teams get in

Philly, Dallas, Giants, Bucs, Vikings and 49ers are in.

1 spot left.

Vikings will have a rematch with the Giants.

San Fran will play whoever finishes 7

This is based on the niners beating a hapless Cardinals team at home next week.

My bad. I’m still in a state of shock from today’s non-effort

Niners about to win. It will now take a miracle to be the 3 seed.
You mean 2 seed. Pick you poison at this point. Get the 2 seed and have to face GB or Detroit in the first game or get the 3 seed and play NY in the first round but then have to go to SF in the next round.

I think the effort was their initially then the Queens caved in when things got tough and the Pack dominate them. The Pack was motivated much more than the Queens. Very disappointed in Jefferson who was called out by the Packer DB and Jefferson never showed. One or two forearms to his expensive grill and #18 had enough. The Queen brain trust made no effort to get Jefferson in the flow as there was no motion, lining him in different positions, quick passes, etc. Pathetic effort. At least our rookie WR#83 had his day.

I’d take SF as Brock Purdy has got to look ugly at some point
This. I’ll take the 3 seed and get a first round home matchup with the Giants. Worry about the second round when that happens. Can’t worry about the second round if you’re getting bounced by the Pack or Lions. Besides, a road game in warmish SF is much different than GB. Playing a rookie QB with not much experience is not that bad of a draw.

It’s a distinction without a difference with this combo platter of gored ox, as well.

I'd much rather play the Giants than the Packers. And maybe the Packers take the Niners out. That would mean the Cowboys at home. Either way, we'll be underdogs in the divisional round. The Vikings should sit their starters next week. There is zero chance the Niners lose to Arizona.

I'd love to play the packers again. Today had a lot of weird shit go against us. On a fast track, let's play them.

Won't happen, though. It would be a blast though.

More likely we end up with the third seed and play the Giants again.
That would be great, quite frankly.

Packers go to San Fran and beat them. So we'll get the dreaded rubber match at US Bank in the 2nd round instead of the first round.

Hope we have a Center who isn't a 3rd stringer, as well as our normal starting RT for the game.

When I posted that, the niners were down. Looks like the niners are going in to go up 7
9ers end up pulling it out in OT.

I say let them have the 2nd seed at get the Pack. You know G-D well it's going to be the Packers as the 7 seed.

Rest our starters next week. Who cares.

^^^^^^^^Isn't Bradbury almost ready
Good lord. Thinking the same thing.

Back tightness??

I was going to say during this game "isn't it weird that Bradbury actually seemed to be better this season, but then he hasn't played for like 3-4 weeks and it hasn't mattered at all??"

And it suddenly mattered quite a bit.

Sheesh

Don't the Packers play the Lions in Green Bay next week?

I think you meant a Lions win + Seattle win = Seattle #7 seed.

Neither the 9ers nor the Vikings should want anything whatsoever to do with the Packers, who are absolutely going to beat the Lions in Green Bay and be the #7 seed.

Would try to throw the game, if I were them.

No doubt we will be stupid enough to go soundly beat the trash Bears who will be trying to lose to get a better draft spot.

What's so scary about the packers?

On turf in the dome, I love our chances.

Just don't turn it over 4 times, give up kickoff return td's, pick sixes, and have missed field goals.

Today was a flukey game all over the field.

They aren't that good.

Many of you are treating round 1 like a bowl game. "I'm glad we got the 3 seed so we can play the giants." WTF?

You want as many home games as possible because the point is to get to the Super bowl, not win a game in the wild card round.

You think Purdy is going to play as good at US Bank against a fired up crowd as he would in Santa Clara? No way.

You're correct that everything seemed to go their way yesterday.

Still, I don't want a first round exit and the Packers are going to be one of the most dangerous teams heading into the playoffs short of some major injuries. Almost the exact same thing happened when they won the Superbowl in the 2010 season. Won three playoff games on the road to get there.

Give me the Giants in the WC round, all day. Pack will beat 9ers and then the match you think is no big deal will happen in the Divisional round at USBS. Then we'll see

The Packers are going to beat them in SC, so your hypothetical is actually irrelevant.

I don't want them in the first round. I want to win the first round. Then we will host in the 2nd round, since they'll have beaten the 9ers.

That's why

Hope we rest our starters next week and try to lose the game.

Dicks the Bears draft position. Lets us heal up another week. Gives us the #3 seed for a much better matchup in the first round.

Only risk is if 9ers beat the Packers. They won't.

The 49ers will kill the packers
