Week 13 Other Games Thread

Some people are really sad because we should’ve taken advantage and I agree. But I also don’t feel that bad because we aren’t very good.
Would feel worse to have a really good team and not take advantage.
Iowa is not very good. These are the games that Fleck and Co need to win to turn the corner. Opportunty squandered sums up the season for me. Win tomorrow and the bowl game will make for a nice 9-4 record, but it will be an off season of what if's.

Brock Osweiler. Just horrible.

“That’s not PI, not in a rivalry game on fourth down”.
“You hate to see the refs decide a game”.
“When the ref sees the right arm grab the hip of the receiver like that, it’s an automatic PI indicator”.

Not exact quotes, but pretty close, and they were all about the same play. The play before was clear DPI, and not a peep.

He’s garbage.

Yes we sometimes hear that it is ok for DB to put an arm on the hip of are the receiver if they do not turn, or impede the body or some movement. PI calls pretty uneven every year.

We also hear that it is not PI if the feet get "tangled up" then the officials call it differently. The call in the FSU/ Florida game was crap, but I have seen worse like in the 2004 MN- PSU game at the Metrodome when the officials gave PSU the game.

In the UNC - NCST game it took the ABC/ESPN commentators about a minute to figure out that the TE that caught the big TD before OT probably let the nose of the football hit the ground before it was trapped. (Dusty D and Dave P) Blah Blah Blah.... oh wait he did not catch it... thanks TV truck!

Brock O. is not great and ABC/ESPN CFB coverage is pretty annoying in general. The audio sounds not good/ off, very poor quality, and the studio show at halftime is crap as well. When they play some "trendy' music in and out of the breaks it sounds like it coming through a 1973 transistor radio or tin can. For some reason when Kirk H and the #1 team is doing an ABC game, the whole production looks and sounds better.

Thankfully FOX and the BTN plus the new TV deal make ESPN/ABC a moot point.

ESPN is just garbage in general.

It will be even if we don’t win today.

The post game thread on Reddit about the game was largely about… how much Brock sucks.

The Game can’t kickoff on time at 11…what the hell are they doing? I already turned it off.
Talking OSU/Michigan?

I'm going to sound like a cranky old man, which is largely because I am a cranky old man, but I am really getting tired of all the fluff and foofaraw that accompanies sports in general these days. Play the game.

7 and 4 Oklahoma State game attendance looks like attendance for a 4 and 7 team… nobody there.

Yep. Do it before the game. Kickoff at 11. Kickoff was 11:17. Can’t stand it

OSU blows a tackle and it’s 10-10. Will they get punished for not stepping on the throat earlier while Michigan was reeling?

As disappointing as our season is, theirs is much more disappointing.
Number 9 in the nation week 8
Lose 48-0
Don’t make conference title game
Lose to the worst team your rival has had in 30 years

Iowa isn’t that good. This isn’t their worst team in 30 years. We haven’t lost a game by more than 2 touchdowns. We were never top 15 let alone top 10

Ryan day can’t draw it up with all those first rounders. Hard to score. Will be interesting what happens if Ohio state loses.

Michigan clearly has narrowed the talent gap up front

And just like that scUM takes the lead on another long TD pass!

I’ll get off your lawn anytime 😁

Tempers are high. We might see some more fisty cuffs in the second half

Either one of these teams have any pass defense?

He is a very confusing coach to me. All the talent and it’s like he gets way too cute at times or overthinks things. OSU was more physical on both sides of the ball and had receivers in 1 on 1 all over the field and he couldn’t get them to any advantage. Maybe the 2 big plays will be a shot in the arm for them

And as I type that, bomb for 6. Why they haven’t been pushing down field all game is beyond me. Michigan doesn’t have the rushers they did last year. Pushing it down field on them opens everything up
