***OFFICIAL IOWA AT MINNESOTA BATTLE FOR FLOYD OF ROSEDALE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

And then we gunna win next week so Fleck can talk about the Axe all off season and have the AD drool all over him. We already have the Axe. We want the damn pig for once.

How do we lose to this f’n team every damn year. They are so lucky!
Lucky maybe comes into play for a year or two. When it’s been 8 in a row that’s either superior talent or coaching or both. and our talent is on par with theirs.

Iowa: the worst “good” team in the history of CFB? They are literally awful, just all luck. Probably worthy of a 3 win season and might win the west, mainly because the other
west teams are a bunch of clowns. Play scared to beat a bad team.

How do you idiots blame Fleck for this. Our star player fumbled at their 10. A pass deflected and based on science it was intercepted. Our kicker missed.

We are fucking cursed. Don't blame Fleck. Blame God.

Well, when your all world RB that has 263 yards decides to fumble on the 10 yard line for the probable the winning score in the 4th quarter, you know the team is cursed. When one of your best DBs then proceeds to drop a possible pick 6 right after that at the same 10 yard line, you know the team is cursed. When your head coach doesn't wear headgear in 15 degree weather, brain freezes, then decides to go ultra conservative and run the same shit over and over and over until your team inevitably comes up short, you know your team is cursed. When the D coordinator forgets to the tell the defense cover the tight end, Iowa's only offensive weapon, you know the team is cursed. The Iowa curse.

Out-lucked, really. The Gophers dominated Iowa for most of the game and somehow found a way to lose. Just like 2019 and 2021.
It’s a flawed philosophy. You can’t manage the game like we do against better teams and expect to prevail most of the time. It doesn’t help that Mo can’t take it to the house but it’s just too hard to run on every play and expect it to work. I’d hate to play QB in this system

That wasn't luck. Terell Smith had an interception in his hands that would have given us a very short field without much time left but didn't secure it. Next possession, the pass bounced off our receiver and Jack Campbell grabbed the ricochet. Besides that sequence, we were also out coached.

As I predicted 13 - 10. 2 things I would like to see changed. New OC. Tired of same crap every game even though we have an All-American running back. Secondly have the B1G commissioner grow a couple and FIRE the Head of officials. The B1G has some really weak football officials. Not to call an illegal hit on our QB, spearing all the way, is a travesty of justice. Put then in the Wisky-Nebraska game, the Wisconsin defensive back is disqualified for touching the sliding QB with his shoulder pad. Absolutely shows the officials have no guidance from the front office.

They better win if they want a conference winning record.

Yep. Those two RUTM plays with Williamson and Potts killed me. You knew that automatically puts a freshman QB at 3rd and long against the Hawkeyes when it counts.
Yep. I knew when OK handed the ball to anyone but Mo, it was just a wasted down. Mind-blowing.

Put me in the Iowa got super lucky camp.

Probably had a 10% or less win probability from the stat sheet. The Gophers will likely rise in computer rankings come Sunday. Not that it matters, but it will prove a point.

For the "outcoached" crowd - what brilliant calls did Ferentz make? They were getting pushed around all over the field and the Gophers made just enough execution mistakes to lose.

If the two teams were playing again next Saturday, the Gophers would be at least a TD favorite.

I agree. I love that PJ elevated this program, but until he pulls his head out of his ass on being uber-conservative against Iowa and other defensively tough teams, the Gophs will struggle in big games.

This should be painted on the field, or on the helmets. Maybe a banner in the practice facility.

He has a better special team coach and unit. They have an actual punter that can kick the ball inside the 20 when it’s required. Plus I think his teams are used to winning games like this unlike the gophers who have too often come up short in close games.

When the Twins announced uniforms yesterday they said the North Star was a shared identity among all Minnesota (pro) sports brands/logos.

"We are fucking cursed" would also work as a unifying mantra.

Possibly the worst take in the history of GH.

"The Gophers will rise in the computer rankings Sunday."

Lololol. Seriously??

Pretty sure I called a 3 point win for Iowa at halftime. Seemed obvious that the Gophers would give it to thhem, whether they deserved it or not (they didn’t , but neither did we). Sometimes I really hate being right.

It wasn't about Ferentz. It was about Rossi forgetting to tell the defense to cover Iowa's only positional weapon, the tight end. It was about frozen-brain-Fleck running the same shit over and over and over and over again until the team ultimately fails.

Maybe an official with “no good” signal after a FG attempt.

Mo fumbled on his 14th carry that drive. The QB had a pick on what his second or third throw in the entire second half. Mo was gassed and the QB was put in an impossible situation. PJ is too dumb to change his best he Tressels’ everything when it’s 2022 that shit ain’t going to work. He’s dumb and stubborn and mediocre and I think we have passed our peak with him as coach.

Amazed how people will go lengths to still defend fleck 🤣

We were going to have to be creative to win this, like use the forward pass. Was working in the first half, but as always, get scared, wear Mo out, just as predicted. I knew if he ran for over 150, we lose.
