Week 3 Other Games Thread

Boy....I really thought I had been trapped with that -6.5 first half line on the Sooners. Had me sweating for all of a couple minutes.

The most stunning sports fact I've ever heard is that the Carrier Dome didn't have air conditioning until 2021, after Carrier gave up their long-time title sponsorship.
I went to a fall football game there like 5 years ago. It was a sunny day and miserable in there.

Is Brett Venables even human? Acts like a damn animal. Remember they had to put a literal leash on him at Clemson?

Just how bad is the nebby suckage?

Indian losing to Western Kentucky
Northwestern losing to Southern Illinois
Nebraska’s program ended by Oklahoma

Big ten west bros 😭 what do we do😭

This is Minnesota's year. And to a lesser extent Purdue's.

The game on October 1 will prove to be the biggest game in the West this season.

Yes but if the West can’t scrape together wins against FCS teams, we will still be eternally disrespected. I’ve seen so much clowning on the West this year 😢

I wanted Mickey Joseph to give OU a run for their money. But Scott Frost left this team in shambles. Disgraceful, putrid football. An embarrassment to the division.

Oklahoma has some quicks, but Nebraska's defense is performing terribly. A set of the worst defensive performances I've seen to start a season.

Nebraska has some really good offensive players. Thompson looks pretty good, Grant and Allen are quality running backs, and Palmer and Washington are good WRs. Nebraska could pull off a couple of surprises during the season if they can keep their defense off the field.

Really kicking myself for not betting my mortgage when I got Oklahoma -4.5 2 weeks ago.

Syracuse has mostly been meh at football but you could make a wild fantasy team from their alums

QB - Donovan McNabb
RB - Jim Brown
RB - Larry Czonka
WR - Marvin Harrison
WR - Art Monk
Flex - Joe Morris
TE - John Mackey
K - Gary Anderson

My god. Nebraska needs to shut down operations entirely. The school, the sports, all of it.

Northwestern now locked in a nail biter pillow fight.

Southern Illinois lost to something called Incarnate Word by 5 touchdowns.
The bottom of the Big Ten is getting embarrassed right now.

That late hit out of bounds by Purdue was ridiculous. There isn’t a Reffing team in the country at any level that wouldn’t call that. How stupid? Undisciplined football by Purdue.

I sort of forgot that this dome has about 14 inches of sideline space.

If you are a contender for the B1G West, you shouldn’t be struggling with Syracuse (even on the road).
Syracuse may be 3-0, but they're not a good FB team. Their QB can do some things with his legs, but their OL looks mediocre, QB really unimpressive throwing it, and D allowing PU to move it at will between the 30s until clamping down. Purdue can't run it as usual, giving up tons of pressure on O'Connell, forcing it to Jones, and now allong Syracuse to drive it down to the goalline. I could be VERY wrong and we're watching two heavyweights go at it, but I doubt it. I think they're both average teams.

This is the year of the Gopher, boys. This is it. Please...let this be it, lol!!

Purdue, Nebraska and Northwestern really hurting the Big Ten West right now. It's bad for the Gophers that the narrative nationally will be, "They didn't play anyone in the non-conference and play in the worst division in Power 5". Our future rankings are being impacted. Come on Purdue!!
