All Things 2022 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I don't know that I'm all that sold on LaFleur either but at least they have three consecutive 13-3 seasons to show for it, and a couple of NFL MVPs. Hackett seems a little lost, and Russ ain't Rodgers, and the Broncos play in a significantly much more difficult division. I have serious doubts at this point

Wasn't comparing QB's. Your post said "Players play, Coaches coach." Off the field? Aaron has tried to coach that team. Don't get why you're letting him off the hook.

Rodgers has tried in run that club for years now. Rumors were he got the last Head Coach fired. He did all but cry in public and demanded to be traded after Green Bay had the audacity to draft a QB. Then he said he wasn't gonna show up unless he was traded or got a bigger contract. When the Packers wouldn't budge, he quietly showed-up.

Yep, Wilson isn't Manning or Brady. Neither is Rodgers, Both he and Russell have only been to 2 Super Bowls.

And each have only won a single ring.

Hard to believe the Eagles passed on Jefferson and took Reagher instead. Damn I hope he burns them bad

It's way early, but I'm starting to wonder about us trading way back in the first. It seems Bynum beats out Cine, at least for now, even if Cine is healthy.

Can you imagine this offense picking up a top receiver without trading back for Cine? Not sure which receiver that would have been, but damn, had we hit on the pick, this offense would be ridiculous down the road.

Still hoping Cine can become great, but still..............

Well, that last thing I'm going to do is defend Rodgers, I think he's a tool. But for the most part, it seems like he's wanted to be GM and have a say in who he's throwing the ball to, not call the plays. Maybe? Who knows. I guess I haven't really heard him saying much of the things Russ said on his noisy departure from Seattle. Russ has made some strange comments on his way out the door and entering Denver.

I love it, I hope both Seattle and the Broncos suffer, I don't like either of them.

I wish the Vikings had a QB that won a single ring (for them).

Also, I really hate Rodgers, but he wasn't wrong about the Pack wasting their First Rd draft pick on Love. Potentially cost them a trip to the SB, maybe more. 1 more weapon might have been enough to get them past the Bucs a couple of seasons ago.

Hell yeah. Screw both of those teams.

Good point. Though wonder if Rodgers was angry that they took him out of California with the 24th pick when they had already had Favre.;)

Probably because he wasn't able to force himself off the team last spring.

Hope that Seattle, Denver and the Packers all have a bad year.

It was truly unbelievable how wide open Jefferson was that game. Got the feeling it will be different in Philly so that should give Theilen more opportunities

KJ is there too, and hoping to see Irv Smith get more chances this season as well.

Mundt had a couple decent short catches, RBs as well.

No doubt there are others but I still want Jefferson to torch that team and their horseshit fans

Philly plays mainly zone coverage like the Packers. I would think they should be prepared and have a game plan for Jefferson being moved around to create mismatches and potential issues with the zone. That being said, the Packers should have been prepared for it too given the amount of motion in the McVay style offense, so who knows? Guess it depends how competent their defensive coordinator is.

I wasn't keeping a tally play by play or anything but I was surprised how little Smith played on Saturday. I'm guessing he was in for less than half of the offensive plays.

Russell Wilson is horrible. Seattle ripped off Denver, and Denver overpaid by a lot.

Paton will be fired for this.

Well that didn't take long.

Trey Lance gets lost for the season to injury and the 49ers Super Bowl odds improve. Tells you what the oddsmakers think of Lance, which is right in line with what the old QB savant Mike Martz thought after last week as well.
