All Things 2022 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

to clarify - the list I posted was taken from an article on MLB.com

The author is Do-Hyoung Park, who is identified as the Twins' beat writer for MLB.com.

I did not make up this list or pull it out of thin air.

people were speculating about which prospects could be offered in a trade. I was just attempting to show how those prospects are ranked.

I apologize for trying to offer actual information.

Thanks for clarifying and my main point was that he wasn’t the originator/author of the list (MLB is- per my OP) and I never said you made it up either - that’s not in my OP either.

additionally we disagree about Gil’s trade value - we see him/it differently. It’s cool that we actually have lots of guys to consider -appears there is some good evaluation/scouting/drafting going on.

I appreciate your posts and information provided. We may not agree on some things, but are both diehard Twins fans and love baseball in general.

Apologies for my post being prickly.

This looks like someone edited it and combined two different at bats. How did it go out?

Bullpen mid-meltdown. Why not leave Jax in, Rocco. Smith is cooked.

lol. Jump through hoops to watch one of 162 games? Thanks....but no.
It wasn't as easy as they made it sound. You still had to sign up for an apple account AND give them a CC # even though you didn't have to subscribe. BS. Already removed all info.

I already had an AppleTV+ account and it still wasn't worth putting the game on. But now that you have the AppleTV stuff......'For All Mankind'. Great show.

I might have jumped through the hoops for a game in September. Instead I went to the driving range, ran into a buddy and decided to get in a late 9.

All good. Beautiful night, probably would have done it even if the game was on a channel that's already costing me a pretty healthy monthly fee.

I almost never watch games live and this game reminded me why.

I don't. The baseball is free. Everything else requires a subscription as far as I know.

O. "Scheduled off day" for Buxton AND Correa by Doc Roc. On a Saturday. At home. Lovely FU to the ticket buying public. But it's not his fault. The spreadsheet said so.
This is the "we won yesterday and their starter is a lot better than ours, so we'll assume a loss and be pleased as punch to try and win the series Sunday" lineup.

Already down 3 runs.

Their starter is coming off Tommy John’s from last year and is making his first start of the season. The only odd thing about this line up is it’s on a Saturday not a Sunday. Usually these are Sunday lineups.

This will be the twins 6th game including beating Toronto last week Sunday.
Buxton has sat out 2 times.
Buxton has DH’d 2 times.
Buxton has played center twice.

Cal Ripken he is not. If they are gonna continue to not play him in center all the time can we get rid of Gordon and get a real center fielder up here?

Ivan understand tomorrow as that would be their. Ormandy Sunday and if we win with them in the lineup today we take the series.

Or give one today and the other tomorrow, so you stagger their days off.

I would rather have the team without both Buxton and Correa for one day and play the rest of the week. Pick a choose what those days are based on matchups and other things. Don’t love sitting them on a Saturday but as I have stated a lot Gardy was known for sitting lots of players on Sundays and putting out some terrible lineups.

What I do want if there are 6 games in a week Buxton and Correa both better play in 5 of them at a minimum.

Correa has only played 3 games since returning. Him needing a day off at all is pretty ridiculous.

Thank Chi Chi for his service and send him in his way.

Fatigue is a symptom of Covid. It sounds like that’s the case with him.

But don’t like him and Buxton being off on the same day. Even if they win today, I would be annoyed as a fan at the game. I go to cheer the Twins on but I also go to see the best players in the world.

The balls seem to be flying more than earlier this year. But there still seems to be some duds in the mix. Larnach’s first at-bat should have been a HR. xBA of .970.
