All Things 2022 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Dick just mentioned Cortes looks like Gary Gaetti. I wasn't sure at first but now I believe him.

Joe Ryan starting for the Saints tonight for no reason. Meanwhile, Bundy tonight and ?? (probably Chi Chi What's it) tomorrow. Why? Will Ryan exert less effort throwing pitches in St. Paul than Minneapolis? Beyond dumb.

Bundy throws a batting practice ball right down the middle on an 0-2 count, HR. Then Cotton doesn’t get the call on what should have been strike 3, next pitch a HR.

Is there a bigger whiner than Aaron Boone? He gets the benefit of a big missed call, yet still cries.

In fairness the the 2nd strike from Cotton was a ball and called a strike.

Not great Bob. All to the bottom half of the order to, that’s the scary part.

Ever sense Gio did whatever the hell he did in the bottom of the third it’s been no offense and bad middle relief pitching again.

Rough to have 6 runs after the second inning and yet lose.

It would be nice if we didn't have 5 starting pitchers unavailable. No excuses for the bullpen though.

Tidbit from the radio broadcast- second time since 1900 a team has lead off with 3 straight homers and lost. The Padres also did it back in the 80’s.

Don’t see any attribution to the twins Beat writer, doubt they have each teams beat writer compile the list, but likely this is from MLB’s scouting service as it also releases a Top 100 list and that’s of course done by someone who knows all the teams prospects. If you have anything that corroborates your supposition, feel free to share
to clarify - the list I posted was taken from an article on MLB.com

The author is Do-Hyoung Park, who is identified as the Twins' beat writer for MLB.com.

I did not make up this list or pull it out of thin air.

people were speculating about which prospects could be offered in a trade. I was just attempting to show how those prospects are ranked.

I apologize for trying to offer actual information.

It's annoying, but it is free and you don't have to sign up for anything apparently.
Yeah but there's a segment that can't or won't figure it out. I imagine the ratings are lower than they would be if on Bally.

Count me in the "won't figure it out" camp. I don't want to be bothered with that junk, figure out another password, set up an account, get a bunch of spam or charged with something if I forget to cancel.

MLB is really good at limiting fans' ability to watch their product. And in this case, making it confusing and hard to figure out.
This is actually something they've done to try and better market their product. It's an 85 million dollar deal between MLB and Apple. They've been doing it all season, Friday doubleheaders on Apple TV. You can watch the Mets and the free-falling Angels after the Twins are done, should you be so inclined.
