Alabama State's recruiting motto should be: "Whatever you do, we need you!"

Someone mentioned here that Hartford is transitioning to D3 so those high numbers make sense.

The evidence so far doesn't fill me with regret that we didn't hire Craig Smith.

AND, OF COURSE: MINNESOTA GOPHERS - 0 (so far anyway)

I guess they don't have an award for the greatest one-year decline in outbound transfers but we'd be a leading contender if they did.
No time, or deep desire, to research, but wondering how many of the places with mass exodus are associated with coaches and schools "parting ways." Also, wondering if transfer portal data distinguishes between grad transfers and not.

Still hoping Ben can fill gaping holes at point guard and center (I still call them centers) with immediate B1G quality contributors. If I had to prioritize, I would probably put point above the middle, but I think we need guys who can start right out of the shoot.

Smith's assistant Eric Peterson is now the coach at the University of South Dakota. I wonder what he and Jenkins relationship is like after one season together, and if he would possibly end up back in SD?
SDSU Fan Forums they were talking about Jenkins going to USD possibly.

NDSU surprises me. Heard the coach is pretty hard core and perhaps the players don't like his yelling, etc. Coach is still there and these numbers make it look like he's gone

247 has a list of their top 10 transfers thus far. Few highlights, Aimaq can pretty much pick his school. Llewellyn has a big list but no one in the Kent/Duke/UNC/AZ range yet, gives me a tiny bit of hope. They have Joe Bamisile listed at #6, former GW shooting guard. I know we are in need of a PG more, but at some point just take good players. Hopefully Battle has an in with Bamisile from the GW days! Camren Wynter, CG from Drexel has heard from MN. 4.6 apg last year, really struggled shooting this year but previous year was quite good. Guessing he would be an easy sell in the Willis role.

Wynter's True Shooting Percentage was a decent (although not great) .513 this year which is just slightly below his career average. He just didn't shoot the 3 well this year. His two-point shooting was decent and his free throw percentage was outstanding.

Wynter would be a good acquisition but his career Win Shares per 40 minutes aren't all that different from Ryan Larson's (of Wofford by way of Cretin Durham Hall) and Larson's career True Shooting Percentage is better. The difference in scoring numbers can be attributed to shooting volume.

Paul Bruns, Summit league freshman of the year just went from UND to South Dakota.

If he really wants another big man (I know most of us do but I'm not certain he does), I would prioritize that position first. There are far more point guards available.

I get my transfer portal info from Verbal Commits. They list class of the transfers although they don't use the label "grad transfer" per se. You can get an idea of that from looking up the player's historical records.

Verbal commits'is kind of late to the party. The data base is nice, but there has been players in the portal and already have found a new school before it gets on verbal commits' site.

Need rebounders. A lot.

Lot of good players entering today. We'll see what some twitter folks have for their top 10 lists

A little surprised no Thiam yet. I guess they are not nudging him out?

Outside of the incoming freshman, not really any other guards right now..
Question is...is he better than a transfer or freshman we could get? I don't know the answer to that question.

He did a year of JUCO so will be in his 3rd year out of HS. Experience counts for something. I'm not optimistic he can contribute here but would love to be proven wrong.

I'm not optimistic either, but he's better than a couple walk on guards.. we need bodies for practice and if he has a decent off season he could be that shooter off the bench we need.

Hopefully they don't consider him because he's not very good at basketball.
Sounds like he'd fit right in.

No, I get that his numbers stink but he's a depth big man who was playing behind pretty good players. I don't think he'd light the world on fire, but I think he'd be more ready to play than Thompson.

As Sid said ‘if you leave here don’t bother coming back.’ This apparently doesn’t apply to diffident Ben.

I hope not, you've got Fox and Ihnen back and Thompson a year older with Payne coming in, I would hope they would be decent as is and add one guy.

Saw him against UST played well hit some threes. Played hard and is athletic
