Official Brad Davison is a Tool Thread

Announcers have been going out of their way all year to try and mellow out his bull shit for the viewers. Earlier in the year when he was the featured player in the broadcast, it was all “heart and soul”. As Davis has taken the tv spotlight, it’s been more “veteran move” and “putting his defender in a no win situation”. Now it’s “the refs told us that they saw something different than we all saw plainly”.
or maybe they could try "Davison is an asshole"

This particular case was a veteran player making a play to get a call. You see it all the time in football where a receiver knows how to push off or a DB knows how to hold and not get caught.

Doesn't change the fact that the kid is a tool who likes to hit guys below the waist but can't really fault him for this one.
I agree with this. He didnt do it to hurt McCaffrey. He did it in hope of getting a call. No reason to start a thread on this one. Yes hes a tool, but nothing terrible here.

Evidently you didn't watch much Duke bb Grayson played.. . Also what about Laettner stomping on an opponents stomach.
What are you saying? He is dirtier than Davison? Davison has hit people in the testicles during the game. Same player.

Or are you saying Grayson wasn’t that good? Because Grayson got nba looks and Davison will not

I’m not sure what part of my statement you disagreed with. Also not sure why you brought up laettner

I wonder if Davidson were a Gopher what your attitude would be.

So because Grayson is a better player you seem to be giving him a pass.

Bring up Laettner is just a way of wondering out loud if Duke likes enforcers.

If the gophers had a dirty player I wouldn’t want him on the court. I’m trying to think of dirty players the gophers had.

probably the last one I can think of was Colton iverson clearing with his elbows more than he should.

I am glad we don’t have an over privileged FAKE good person dirty player from maple grove on the team.
In fact, I would be fine if we sold maple grove to wisconsin

Your response was predictable. No one likes opposing dirty players but love a local player who pushes the boundaries.

No I don’t. Iverson getting one video review per game was frustrating and embarrassing

Don’t really like dirty players. Fortunately haven’t had many in the last 10-15 years

Davison is a pretty classic type of person. Really good guy until in a competitive situation and then turns into a prick that nobody likes.

brad Davison is everything wrong with our society. We need to reward actions rather than call him a good guy because he says the right things in offseason interviews. He is dirty and cheap. He should be banned from the big ten. If he was on the gophers, I wouldn’t say the same thing because if the gophers had a player like that who repeatedly does what he did, I would stop watching until that person wasn’t on the team

Doesn’t matter if he didn’t do it to injure. It could have. And the kid is a repeat repeat repeat offender. Gard is worse as he won’t do a thing about it.

Yeah I guess it could have hurt McCaffrey, but that wasnt his intent. I guess McCaffreys hip to davison could have hurt him too. Let's not get soft here. A punch to the nutsack is one thing, but let's not compare this to the dirty things hes done in the past. The guy was trying to get a foul called.

There is no question that Gard coaches this BS and they actually practice it.

Our local Lakeville player #5 (another Turd I am starting to dislike), clearly a whiny punk, landed 15 feet from where he initiated the big FLOP he tried to sell on the Iowa star Keegan Murray.

The officials called the FLOP and the whole Wisconsin bench started whining like a chorus of dick faced Coach Ks. Fuck them! Flopping should result in a one game suspension.

I hate Wisconsin Basketball so much on so many levels. Being a fan of that miserable program has to be wretched existence, winning or not winning.

Sure, Bo had then playing a bit of real basketball at the end with Dekker, Kaminsky and few smart guards that could shoot, and defend but that stuff with Davison and others under Gard is just crap, all around. I remember hoping they would win the big one a few years back, but the have regressed to turd city.

Wisconsin is essentially St. Thomas basketball as currently playing D1 and winning a bit, with slightly better players and more crooked, cheap play.

The flop warning, then 2nd for a technical foul, is a great step forward for college basektball.

Should not be a foul.
Difference between lil a hole and mccaffrey is history. Davison is a creep coached by a encouraging cheap shot.

The fact that there is an entire thread dedicated to this person indicates he is getting exactly the reaction he's hoping for (otherwise said: it's working).

Just ignore it and move on.

He grew up dreaming of being a gopher but when Pitino…..

Yeah he is definitely getting rewarded for his behavior no question.

I see Davison took out Iowa’s star last night. Hopefully the Gophers have an enforcer (like in the NHL) that can protect his teammates. I and my fellow fans will be vocal any time he touches the ball.
It continues because his coach allows it.

I have had a few players in my coaching tenure with this kind of tendency. Benching was usually the first step, because they want to be competing and playing more than anything. If they are just your average once-in-a-while douchebag, it usually worked. The threat of not playing was enough to curb their impulses.

Davison has likely been like this his entire career, with a plethora of excuses made by everybody and anybody that saw it happening. It paid off for him, so the reward circuit was hard-wired in his brain. This prick knows exactly what he is doing, as do his coaches. Referees should also be well aware of his antics, and take that into consideration when officiating a game. Either these guys didn't know, or they don't care, but all it does is reinforce that this kind of play is acceptable.

Let him try something with somebody like Cockburn. Then you'll see him scampering for safety before the guy rips him in half. If I were the official, I'd tell Cockburn he has 10 seconds of no-peeking before I blow the whistle. :)

The problem is there's little incentive for Gard to bench him. He's one of their best players. The league suspended him 1 game and that's it for his career I believe. Until refs start calling more and the league does more, it's going to continue.

The play against Iowa, there was definitely contact at the hip area so I get that call. Should be an offensive foul for sticking his leg out like that too though. That was extremely blatant.
