Big 10 referees turned a blind eye to the suplex he Davidson did at the end of the Nicholls state game. I mean that isn't even a question thst was a flagrant foul, and not just a hard foul. This is not wrestling, college basketball that is. You don't get to gut wrench suplex a gut to tge floor as a foul so that the other player cannot get off a shot. His cheap shot reputation is well earned. In Pro basketball you would get a technical flagrant foul and a fine for what he did.
 


I watched some of this game but switched off because it made me sick.

Refs were terrible earlier in the second half too. Totally screwed the visiting team with a bunch of consecutive tic tac fouls while swallowing the whistle to let Wisconsin steamroll em.

Investigate Wisconsin. Investigate those refs. Burn this bitch to the ground.

This news isn't new. When he makes a dirty play in the coming months (which is almost guaranteed)....can we just add it to one of the other threads rather than make a new one?

Exactly. We can blame Davidson all we want but it’s a top down issue. Whether Gard admits he encourages it or not, he still condones it implicitly by permitting it to happen for over half a decade at this point. Surprised he’s been able to distance himself from Davidson’s dirty deeds for so long while maintaining a pure reputation.

Yet some here on gh insist the great gaaaaaard. He has escaped injuriing someone seriously. So far.

Sure. Gaard deserves some blame but it's not like a ton of other Badgers are constantly punching other men in the balls. It seems to be a pretty specific issue for a specific guy.

I’m one of them. Think Gard is a good coach and human. You dont know if there are punishments for Davison or not. Obviously whatever punishment (If he actually is giving any) isn’t working. There is a difference

Gaard has done zero to get the behavior to stop. Or incidents would not be happening. That simple.
Lil feller gives gaaaard a better chance to win. That is why he continues to play with zero consequences for his dirty play. You definition of a good human is different than mine.

You don’t know if Davison got punishment or not. You know that he didn’t punish him publicly. It’s fair to say anything Gard has done hasn’t been enough, but you don’t know what’s happened behind the scenes.

As said in previous conversations, I’ve met Greg Gard. He’s a great person. Some great people don’t always handle every situation correctly. I’ll agree he hasn’t done it here

Gaard has had repeated opportunities to stop his garbage. Over the course of years.
Failure. On purpose.

Gard hasn't done enough. If he cared about it, he would have put an end to it a long time ago. Sit him a game, run him until he pukes, take away training table for a month, remove him from the game right then and there. Do some of them or all of them until Brad figures it and it is no longer a problem. He hasn't, so it continues.

I don’t disagree that Gard hasn’t done enough. It’s totally fair to criticize him on this. What I’m saying is
1. We don’t know what punishments Davison has not or has gotten.
2. Gard himself is a great guy. I totally agree he hasn’t handled this well. Everything else he has imo.
3. I also know Brads HS and AAU coaches. Nothing but positive things to say about him even with his poor decisions he’s made during games

Correct, I've stated that whatever (if any) of Gards interventions have not worked. He's not innocent here, but this one issue doesn't make him a bad coach or person.

I meant to say anyone who's been around the kid has nothing negative to say about him despite his plays on the court. It was an error on my part.

Perhaps Gaard should intervene with some real ramifications for the lil feller? AS you have repeatedly said, what he has done hasn't worked. Gard wont do jack to him, and has proven that. Gard wants to win, and dirty play by one of his players be damned.

Even if it has been YEARS.
