2021 Other Bowl Games Thread

Watching the Birmingham Bowl. Have yet to see Seth Green hit the stat sheet for Houston. Not even sure if he has played a snap yet.

Maybe not a lot, but he's caught 13 passes in 7 games.

do we think the SEC will care about any of the games today? Houston already up early on Auburn

Sure. They'll care about ever one they win. When they lose, they'll talk about how tough it is to care about non-championship bowls.

Awww, poor SEC. Are the three non-power 5 bowl opponents so far just too tough?

The SEC was vastly overrated this season. Michigan will beat Georgia, and may win the whole thing.

Purdue and Iowa are still going to get killed though.

Rumor is Holiday Bowl getting cancelled tonight. UCLA opting out due to Covid on d-line.

I have a hard time seeing Michigan beating Georgia. $EC isn’t as strong as they claim to be top to bottom, but they are at the very top.

Normal year for the SEC. Extremely good at the top and extremely overrated for the rest.

They are? Because they beat a bunch of ranked SEC teams who have turned out to be mediocre?

Air Force!

Air Force (9-3) is 7-0 over Louisville (6-6) at the end of Qtr. 1. They have a potent triple-option attack. For primarily a running team, they had two explosive passing plays, One resulted in a TD.

I didn't know they were doing so well this year. The Zoomies are going to have a 10 win season.

Are you talking about the one that exclaimed “praise the Lord” after Smoke’s first blatant targeting call was overturned?
I’m just saying on any given play 40% chance they know less than my mother in law about what happened

Air Force QB is 7/8 for 226 yards and 2 TDs. Not bad.

G6 conferences are now 5-0 over P5 teams in bowl games. Impressive showing.

It's interesting how after 35 years, we still cover Gatorade baths like it's the first one ever.

I’m getting the feeling that this TTech Miss St game might be a high scoring affair. Not sure why.

We’ll find out who’s right on Friday.
Yep, and Michigan is about to meet reality. They won’t get blown out…..I don’t think, but they don’t have the horses and either side of the ball to play 4 quarters with Georgia.

What are the horses Georgia has on offense? Their QB is small and very average, and their RBs/WRs are good but not spectacular. Ohio St's offense is far better than Georgia's or Alabama's and Michigan held them in check most of that game.

Alabama's offense shredded Georgia's 'vaunted D' without their second best WR for half of the game, just one week after being shutout by Auburn for the first three quarters. Michigan is every bit as good as the top of the SEC this season, if not better.

Just a slight contrarian view to the Michigan O. Michigan has been bad throwing the ball all year. Alabama couldn’t run at all but lit them up all year. It’ll be strength on strength there and I’d say it leans Georgia. I agree I don’t expect GA to move the ball well though
