***OFFICIAL ILLINOIS AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Honestly, they get 3-4 yards by accident with that line. They're nuts if they don't go for it.

Hopefully the kick it, otherwise they are going to break my hopium if they make it.

If Illinois goes for this I think it’s a stupid decision. If we stop them here they let us back in the ball game. Not sure we can stop them though…

At least the announcers are kinda of funny and knowledgeable

This is the game where our passing game has to perform well or we lose. Illinois is stacking the DL and blitzing. Running 75% of the time while are behind equals automatic loss to Illinois. Tanner needs to unload quickly with the pressure he faces. And our routes must be designed for quick throws. Illinois is playing with great mental toughness; we aren’t.
100% Illinois is only playing 1 high safety on every play

I want them to punt, but if I'm Illinois, I want them to go for it. We haven't stopped them yet. They just have to fall forward and they have a first down and huge momentum.

We have done very little with the ball. Just punt and don’t risk poor field position.

Two things driving me crazy:
- Throwing on second and long. The linebackers are sprinting back into coverage as soon as the ball is snapped. Just run the ball and position an achievable third down.
- Running on first. They are literally putting a safety on the edge on first down. Throw against the inevitable single coverage.
IL has played the one high safety most of the time on early downs all season. Shouldn't have been a shocker to the staff coming in either

If we are all hoping they punt it, they should probably go for it.

If we have any chance, it will be Morgan throwing for 300 + and 3 TD's. Throw the $%% ball.

Our OC is not good. I don't blame D as much as O. They can have some letdown game but O is not scoring any points.

God I love the gophers. I try not to miss a quarter. I live away from the state so it helps me feel connected to home.

But like... this is a painful game. Somehow more painful to watch than BG.
