Man this is one of those things that is WAY within the NCAA rules (unlike fake classes, rape, etc) and could hand down serous consequences.
 









Is this their way of restoring the Cornhuskers to glory days?

Cornhusking is a tough business. Cheating the NCAA is much easier. Or so they thought.

Frosty and company got caught doing dumb things. They have to eat the corn they husked, and move on.

 






For how much I dislike Nebraska this is a nothing burger to me. The NCAA is really going to go after teams for hosting off-campus workouts and having a special teams analyst?

I believe the NCAA just last week issued no punishment to Baylor. That investigation concluded that roughly 20+ students athletes, primarily on the football team, were accused of sexual assault, and essentially nothing happened.

Year after year the NCAA shows how incompetent they are.

As was discussed in that thread, those violations are not what the NCAA was set up to govern - they aren't campus police. This Nebby violation, however, is exactly what they are designed to govern. That's the big difference.

Baylor case was about admin collusion and rape and things not typically handled / easily handled by NCAA considering their rules.

Videos of secret off campus pratices that are outside the allowed time is RIGHT UP the NCAA's alley as far as 'jurisdiction'.

That makes a lot more sense then, I guess i didn't do my due diligence on the Baylor investigation. Thanks for the clarification.

Husking corn? I say shucking corn. Do we have a gray duck thing here?
 



Saw that Frosty has lawyered up already. Not a good sign for him or Nebraska.

The NCAA also didn't come down on the Gophers when they had 13 student athletes, all on the football team, accused of sexual assault. Didn't see virtue signaling then. It isn't what the NCAA handles.

Yeah no matter how horrible I think it is, whomever should deal with situations with sexual assault generally ... NCAA isn't who I would pick even if they were capable. Just not their role.

humor aside, with NIL aren't scholarship reductions now useless? just like at BYU, a company can now pick up the tuition fees for any athlete, including walk ons.

any chance there's enough here that the big ten Council of Presidents and Chancellors would invite nebraska to join the big 12?
