All Things 2021 NCAA College Basketball March Madness Tournament Thread

I picked AC in a draft that I'm in. It's a snake draft where we have 9 people participating. The most wins get 30% of the pool, 2nd most get 15%, NCAA Champs get 30%, Runner Up get's 15% and other two Final 4 teams get 5%. I was lucky enough to draw the Ace of Spades so I got Gonzaga. By the time it came back around to me I had to take USC and Virginia (now i wish I had taken Colorado instead of Virginia). Anyway, on some of those ESPN March Madness preview shows I heard some people talking about how AB would give Texas all they wanted, so when it got down to the last 10 picks I picked them up. So even though Texas is my first Elite 8 team gone....I'm super happy they lost. I would really love it if AC could win one more game...

Maybe Kansas takes down Gonzaga in their second matchup of the year.

Maybe....it's college basketball....anything can happen. I'm not betting against Gonzaga though in any one game. Against the field? Maybe...

Right. Gonzaga will be favored. Rightfully so. But folks in my pool overwhelmingly picked them to win. They go down anytime prior to the final four and that's a huge positive for me.

Baylor beat Illinois by double digits. I think Illinois struggles to get to the Final 4.
I remember watching that game. Baylor is the team that's not getting enough love. They could end up the champion.

Do you have Illinois?

Do you have Illinois?

Yes. I picked Illinois to win the championship. Love Ayo....he's outstanding and can will them to beat any team. Add in Kofi and that's a one-two punch only matched by Gonzaga imo.

Baylor is a completely different team since their 3 week covid hiatus. Before the break, they were probably the best team in the country. After the break they have not looked nearly as good - especially defensively. Regardless, hopefully they crush ‘sconnie this afternoon.

Gaard on KFAN said today that there is a dark horse name that hasn’t been mentioned publicly that he was told is in serious consideration for the job. Wouldn’t say who it was.
It's Wes Miller!

Miller Time @ The Barn!!

I'll take Ritchie McKay as the dark horse

Loyola Chicago's backup big, Jacob Hutson, was an unranked 6'10" center out of Edina. Never heard of him. Not saying we missed on him or anything...fun to see Minnesotan's out there.

It’s 11:52 central on day one of second round and the big ten is still overrated.

seriously a lot of good teams in big ten. But I’m not sure any great teams.
