Trying to distract myself from watching election coverage for awhile. . .
I think The Rolling Stones have become an underrated band through the years. They haven’t put out a decent record for years and because their tours became a greatest hits revue for the boomer set, it seems their greatness (Sticky Fingers, Let it Bleed, Exile on Main Street, Beggars Banquet was an incredible run, I would argue never matched by another band-and yes, I know I have them out of order) is forgotten by some. Unlike their contemporaries and against all odds (looking at you Keith Richards), they maintained their primary lineup after Brian Jones died, which happened early enough in the band’s history so as not to end the band’s run.
