How many penalties can you take in one game? How many times can you pancake the ground and get burned? Great win, GO GOPHERS!!!

Well, disregarding the penalties, the O-line (as a unit!) limited MSU's pass rush and did make some small holes in the running game. I would have liked to see those holes bigger, but at least they made up for that on passing plays. Wills is a part of that unit that played a pretty good game tonight!

I disagree. He might not be too sharp now, but he will improve.

With all due respect, cool it. O-line did an awesome job in pass pro tonight, Wills in particular. Yeah, he needs to cut down on the penalties, but his good work tonight far outweighed his false start penalties.

Ummmm we rushed for like 2 yards per carry........great holes our O-Line made.

His work outweighed his penalties? How about single handedly taking us out of FG range that one drive? Or getting dominated on multiple occasions? It was embarrassing. The only weak link in pass pro today.

When a QB passes for 400 yards and five TDs, there are no weak links in pass pro.

You've got to be *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#ting me...........

When reason fails, resort to the ampersands and pound signs.

I'll concede that he erred on several occasions tonight. In general, though, I'm overjoyed with the job of the OL in general. I thought Wills played a great game, aside from the penalties. I guess we can agree to disagree if you saw otherwise.

Agree to disagree, just happy we won. The OL as a whole was very good, but I'm not blind to seeing how horrible he played today. Whatever, a win is a win.

Terrible thread. His first penalty was obviously the fault of a late snap by the center. The whole o-line had a false start. The third penalty he did not move at all. Watch the tape. I was particularly watching him. Bad call. The O-line was great today only someone who doesn't know anything about football would start a terrible thread like this.

You're right, I know nothing about football so I started a thread like this. I'm clearly blind and couldn't see the many times he got burned, and all his false starts. Get a grip fool.

A win doesn't mean we played flawlessly. We were better but there is still room to improve for next week. GO GOPHERS!

Jeff Wills had his best game of the season. False starts, horse collar and all. You and I were obviously watching two different games - which is probably why nobody else agreed with you...

You, sir, are an idiot. I see many people who agreed that we didn't play flawlessly. Having his best game of the season isn't saying much, being that he has been TERRIBLE on the year. Congrats on the O-Line for giving Weber some time to throw the ball today, but the penalties were still far too abundant and they still couldn't run block. At all. Those are facts. Look at the penalty yards. Look at the rushing statistics.

I'm tired - going to bed... trust me... you're the only one who thinks "Jeff Wills needs to take a seat." Anyone agree with you i'll give you a dollar.

If I agree do I get a dollar as well?

You would owe me a lot of dollars my friend. The sad fact is, he is terrible. But who cares right? We won so I can't be critical of anything! Weber threw for 400+ yards so clearly our line was flawless. Let's just not consider nearly the numerous holds and false starts, and the fact that we got nothing going on the ground. GOOD IDEA!

I don't think you even watched this game. Wills has been playing very well.

Seriously, you need to be objective instead of being all up in Wills' grill just because someone who may or may not be a family member of his posted something here. I understand supporting our team is what should happen, but Wills has been terrible. Horrible. Awful. Opened up nothing in the running game, got burned many times, and took a ton of penalties.

I've hated on Weber in the pass but I think he did a phenomenal job today protecting himself from the rush on Wills' side. He finally learned that he needs to step up in the pocket because if anyone speed rushes Wills they get there every single time. Give Weber a lot of credit for figuring that out.

Seriously you need to watch the game instead of flaming because of a couple of penalties. We had great pass protection, and a couple of the nice runs we did have were to Wills side with him leading the way. I don't even know what you could possibly be referring to. He was actually great.

Oh I watched the game. A couple of penalties is a huge deal in regards to the offensive line. How can you not understand that.

And maybe I missed the game in regards to the running game but.... a couple of nice runs? Excuse me? Did I miss something or am I the only one who didn't see many "nice runs"? 2.3 yards per carry..........

You did miss plenty obviously. You obviously can not critique a game if your only reference points are stats. let's just say I think you're completely wrong and give others a chance to state their opinions.

Typical GH poster...Posting stats makes my opinion wrong

Isn't the ultimate critique for a game based on stats? I say we didn't do jack *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# in the running game. You said we had some nice runs. You have nothing at all to back that up. I have 2.3 ypc to back up my argument. You say we played well on the line? I say 150+ penalty yards. Stats trump everything in the kind of argument that we are having right now. You need to get to bed before you dig yourself an even deeper hole.

Let's just say I think you are completely wrong. Not every play was 2.3 yards. There was a negative 8 yards by Whaley. Not on Wills side btw, and there was a very nice run by Gray that was called back. That was on Wills side btw. The pass protection was awesome. Not good, great. Weber was sacked twice, both times he held the ball way too long. You're just way off. way way off.

Once again, trying to argue against stats makes you look like a total fool. Obviously not every play was 2.3 yards, but the law of averages is rarely wrong, especially when it comes to the running game. A nice run by Gray was sprung by a holding, so who knows what happens if Kuznia doesn't tackle the guy? Look at you being hypocritical now....blaming Weber for the 2 sacks he took, but not giving him any credit for the many sacks he evaded by finally stepping up in the pocket and making plays. He finally figured out that Wills is a horrible pass protector and gets burned around the edge every time. Unless he is false starting or holding.

You're just completely wrong I can't you out of that. Just go ahead in drown in it all you want. Wills played really well. Which makes your OP completly full of crap. Sorry man.

So you're totally subjective opinion trumps my objective statistics...you've got to be kidding me right?

You should keep posting all night. I'm not sure you've made your point yet.

Wills had a rough game. No 'ifs', 'ands' or 'buts' about it. Thank god he can take home a learning experience in a winning effort. I expect better next time...

I truly don't care if Wills old man posts on here...JW was awful today. At some point you have to call a spade a spade and he had 4 penalties on the game. He is extremely slow with the first step and continues to get beat in a bull rush situation.

JW gets his school paid for,so it is time that he delivers...regardless of how many soft people post on this board.
