Sanjay LumpkinSanjay Lumpkin, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound rising junior forward from St. Louis Park (MN) Benidle St. Margaret’s, is one of the state’s top players in the Class of 2012. Lumpkin averaged 5.8 points per game as a sophomore for the Red Knights, who finished 24-6. They lost in the state tournament quarterfinals to Grand Rapids 70-61. Lumpkin scored in double figures in six of 29 games, including a season-high 14 points versus Holy Angels and St. Francis. Jonathan HoltonJonathan Holton, a 6-foot-8 senior forward from Coral Gables (FL) High, has seen his recruitment go through the roof after a strong summer with the Gold Coast and Each One Teach One AAU programs. Holton has received scholarship offers from schools such as East Carolina, Florida International, High Point, Marshall, Murray State, Oakland, Rhode Island, Rice, Temple, Tulsa and Western Kentucky. Andre HollinsAndre Hollins, a 6-foot-2 guard from Memphis (TN) White Station, will make an official visit to Minnesota in September. Hollins has a strong spring and summer for the Memphis Magic AAU program. Hollins had a strong spring, leading the Memphis Magic Elite to the Select division championship of the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions, where he averaged 20 points per game and made 20 of 21 free throws throughout the event. He also played in the Cream of the Crop Top 20 game at Pangos All-American camp. (Read More)

PG Phenom Tyus Jones Updates GopherHole on His Recruitment and Summer AAU Basketball Recruiting

Tyus JonesTyus Jones, a 6-foot rising 9th grade point guard from Apple Valley (MN) High, is considered Minnesota's top player in the Class of 2014 and one of the best in the state, regardless of age. Jones helped lead his Eagles’ team to the Tubby Smith Team Camp title. Jones received plenty of hype as an eighth grader starting for a Lake Conference team. However, he lived up to and exceeded expectations as he averaged 16.5 points per game and led the Metro area in assists. Jones scored in double figures in 21 of 28 games as the Eagles finished 20-8. Joe ColemanJoe Coleman, a 6-foot-3 rising senior wing from Hopkins, shined at the Pacesetter Sweet 16, leading the Royals to the title as he scored 28 points in a 69-48 win over Eastview.
