It's actually very typical to see this ("inequity" in the penalty vs. buyout amounts) in the contracts of head coaches. Doesn't mean it makes a lot of sense, but nothing unique to Tubby / not a unusual concession made by the U.

From what I have read the coach from K State is taking the SC job, I can't think of his first name at the moment but his last name I believe is Martin.
