Because unless you're seeded #1 you aren't "guaranteed" a win in the tourney. And frankly this team should be capable of higher than a #6 seed.

Capable? Maybe. But the regular season ceiling is probably a 4 seed. The floor is missing the tournament again. I'd say a 6 seed is a pretty good deal given those two extremes. A #6 seed basically means this is a top 25 team and in the top 5-6 in the B1G. Who wouldn't take that after the last few years?
