Wait til Fickell gets the after game calls from Barry. That Utah st coach who resigned mentioned disliking that part
 






Reading a bit from the Wisconsin faithful, it reminds me a bit of when the M-Club ran our athletic department from outside the building. I've got nothing against Leonhard, but something must not have fit. If the current AD did check in with Alvarez prior to pulling the trigger, that says a lot.

Oh yeah, absolutely. I think there is risk/reward for Fickell going with Cinci to Big 12.

The truth is that he has had his choice of jobs over the last few years so I think he could stand to lose more than he could gain.

I'm not sure many of these teams are much tougher than UCF and Houston, who will join the big 12 also, as well as Tulane, SMU, and East Carolina occasionally. I think these schools would be pretty competitive playing against Big 12 teams.

He's done well there. Ability to recruit is showing as well. Someone already changed his Wikipedia page.
 







West is loading up with good coaches with the addition of Rhule, Ficckell, and last year Bielema.

I got some Herb in me; spent most of my work career in sales. I cannot pull off that type of luxurious plaid sports coat, unfortunately.

Still one of my favorite comedies of all time - always made me laugh.

That clip is priceless. Summed up the staff there perfectly. Do you have a pair of white slip on dress shoes?
 


this'll be real interesting to see what badger players bolt and where they end up. Would imagine next to none of them would want to or be welcome here, but certainly are some I'd be happy to see cross the border and play for the good guys (would imagine Herbig will go pro instead of transferring)

All I knew was Leonhard's reputation and the admiration WI fans have for him, the local newspapers, blogs etc. All of that seemed to indicate that it was a done deal.
What happened was the WI AD did his due diligence and contacted the usual suspects and found to what I Imagine was surprise that Fickell was interested in the WI job.
No one outside of a very few knew about the negotiations until today.
Why Fickell decided that WI was where he wanted to go and why is only speculation and a waste of time.
He was wooed by multiple suitors over the last few years and spurned them all, recently NE, so based on that one could presume that it is a very good thing for WI even though the start will be rocky for Leonhard has his admirers.

I think it’s easier to win at a high level in the big ten at wisconsin than it is to win at a high level in the big 12 at Cincinnati

Especially in an era we are entering where 4th in the big ten might get you in the playoff
