Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell will return to coach the Badgers in 2026

"We" will need to bring our A game. This will be the Badgers Bowl game.
The Badgers were playing for a bowl game last year and got beat 24-7 at home. Even the td was due to a bad penalty.

They are not going to bring a different game if Fickell is here or not.....or if we are the biggest rival. They got destroyed and shut out at home against Iowa. Regardless of the offense.....the defense has not quit for them. If they are 2-9 coming in and banged up.....how much of A game are they going to bring? I just don't think even their best game is good.

Need to step on their throat immediately in that game. They’ll quit if they get down.

I was wrong on rhe OL from Irondale. He’s played a lot and stayed healthy.

It would be a good time to strike on a University friendly extension....

If they don't have the money to fire Fickell, where are they getting the money to invest into the program and give him more resources? And why now and not, I don't know, when you hired him for the spoken purpose of investing more resources into Wisconsin football?

The number one thing that worries me about the Wisconsin game is if they fire him 6 days before the game

So how mich pressure does this put on PJ?
Wisconsin is 2 and 6 with #23 Washington, #2 Indiana and Top 25 dropout Illinois before playing the Gophers. Unlikely to win any but best chance is Minnesota on paper.
Gophers striving for 7th or 8th win. Game is a home game for the Gophers...already embarrased by rival Iowa...what if we don't beat the 2 and 9 Badgers either? Could get ugly. I see all the coaches sleeping on air mattresses that week.

The only time in this worse period of Badger football that we've lost to Wisconsin was the game in 2023 when we were coming off of three straight losses and the team was completely demotivated and had basically thrown in the towel for the season. And even then, the score was tied at halftime and the issue came when the team just ran out of gas in the second half. Not to mention that was the best Badger team in Fickell's tenure so far and arguably the worst in Fleck's. I worry about it too as it would be a very Minnesota game to lose, but under Fleck it's rare to fall into late-season "trap games" like this one.

They are bad, but also a product of their schedule. What do most people think the gophers record would be if they played that same schedule? 3 wins? Just curious… I wouldn’t underestimate them.

It might be 2-3 wins

The difference would be the team wouldn’t quit

Heard an insane rumor from people in the know their biggest booster is a Fickell fan and willing to fund $25 million in NIL…which has to be highest in the country. I’m thinking to myself why didn’t they donate anything before? Regardless am skeptical and enjoying their downfall in the meantime. Couldn’t happen to a better fan base and obnoxious behavior.

The Texas Tech GM was recently quoted in a Houston Chronicle article saying they will have a 27 million dollar roster in ‘26.
