Notre Dame is currently losing...that might open up a spot...but, then again, it's Notre Dame so they can probably lose a couple more times before they drop out of the rankings...

I'm revising my prediction depending on the outcome of the Fresno State vs Wyoming game.

Notre Dame and Texas Tech are both in the 21-25 range in both the AP and USA Today polls, that opens up two spots for the Longhorns and Bulldogs.

Miami's second straight blowout loss, this time to an unranked VaTech team at home, could drop them out of the top 25, where they are ranked #14. Oklahoma took a bad loss to Baylor but it shouldn't drop them further then 10 or so spots considering the Bears are undefeated and on a tear.

In the "other receiving votes" category we have the risers (UT, UGA, Ole Miss) and the fallers (BYU, Houston).

Even if Fresno State wins I think we could sneak in to the USA Today top 25; if Fresno loses I would feel safe that we would be in the top 25 in both the AP and USA polls.

Isn't Fresno already ranked #16?

Miami is done for the season. They will drop after the loss to VA Tech. LSU will drop, Oklahoma may be out, Notre Dame is out of the top 25. Texas Tech will drop maybe out of the top 25.

Ya I should've clarified. The Esss-Eeeee-Ceeee SOS/bias already has them #2 in the already getting votes category.

After the games wrapped up, thinking we're 26 in the Coaches and 27 in AP. Texas and Georgia will go into the poll while Texas Tech and ND drop out. But, with a bye week, I would be very surprised if we don't move in by the Wisconsin game due to attrition.

per CBS' Top 25:

25. Minnesota (NR): One of the best stories in college football, the Gophers' losses (less-than-competitive outings against Iowa and Michigan) don't scream "top 25." But the 8-2 record and four-game winning streak vs. Northwestern, Nebraska, Indiana and now Penn State will likely speak loudly enough that it won't matter.

Go Gophers!!

The six teams in the BCS top 25 that lost in Week 11 are:

No. 03 Oregon
No. 10 Oklahoma
No .11 Miami
No. 13 LSU
No. 23 Notre Dame
No. 25 Texas Tech

Why aren't more B1G teams with better winning records not ranked higher or ranked at all? It is based on last year's bowl results and the results of any head to head competition against other BCS teams this season? I feel like Ohio State should be no. 2 in the BCS with a winning streak stretching into last season when they were bowl ineligible, but what do I know?

I hope we aren't ranked so the chip on our shoulder becomes gigantic...

Marcus Tweeted these two tidbits:

If Wisconsin remains in the top 25 when it comes to town, it will be the first matchup with Minnesota with both teams ranked since 2005.

#Gophers ranked for the first time since 2008 at No. 25 in the USA Today coaches poll --

It all comes down to strength of schedule. Florida St. has played a tougher schedule.
