Will Fleck learn from watching Cignetti's aggressive play calls and creativity?

Indiana was a very good team and THEN they got Mendoza. They had a terrific offense last year with Kurtis Rourke. In fact, Rourke's success with Cignetti played a huge role in Mendoza considering Indiana.

The 2024 team averaged 41.3 points per game and Rourke was one of the best QBs in the Big 10. This was a top 5 football team in the country.

I think Mendoza is great but Indiana would have been a very good football team with another Rourke.
Or a healthy rourke

Rourke played on a torn ACL and did that last year

They're absolutely not. You just take a shot at PJ whenever you can.

When you read about how Cignetti runs his culture, attention to detail, his recruiting, etc it's all very similar to what people say about how PJ runs his program.
Imagine how unstoppable Cignetti will be once he learns about nektons.

Signing a transfer QB who is not viewed as a strong Heisman contender, and then utilizing him in a way that makes him a Heisman winner, on the other hand, is a recipe for success.
I subscribe to the theory that great QBs are born and much less so made.

Yeah because the front 7 run fit wrong

That was the point of the post you responded to.
That’s what they were expecting, that’s why they called the play according to both Mendoza and Cignetti interviews. When they saw the defense they hoped for they knew the play might work. If they didn’t see the D they hoped for then they probably would’ve changed the play at the line.

He wasn’t viewed as a heisman contender because of the team he was on. He has been the consensus #1 QB pick for the NFL draft for over a year.

Watch the replace dude. The linebacker fit in the wrong spot. They had an extra guy in a gap on one side and they were short a man on the other side

There isn’t a defense from high school to pro that is by design not gap sound.
