Who will make the best hire and revive their program first? Gophers Mark Coyle or former Gopher Beth Goetz

It also feels like he's peaked at SDSU. They will likely never repeat the last two seasons. If he has 4-6 years left, does he want to end it coaching out the string there as a bubble team in the Mountain West? Or have his final act going out as a hero resurrecting his alma mater?

He probably won't take it, but it's not impossible it could be tempting.
I heard directly from sources close to Brian last time around that he’s never moving from San Diego. They love the area and the lifestyle. Things can change, of course, but that was adamant the last time we had this conversation on the board.

Dutcher is another ship that sailed.

Don't waste time pursuing.

Let Dutcher make the disappointing truth. We don't need to self-select a "no" from candidates we have yet to speak with.

Why would he. He has a good thing going and he took them to the final 4, he’s golden. AND ITS SAN DIEGO

Iowa wasn't even really down. McCaffery ended the NCAA dreams of both Nebraska (by 15 on their floor) and Ohio State in his last week on the job without his best player. I didn't truly believe they'd actually fire him until it happened, but I fear that means they already have a "yes" from DeVries which means Goetz has a good shot to outshine Coyle here.

It wasn't one or two guys. It was wide open and widely known. The son of a friend of mine was on that team. I asked my friend about it and he REALLY didn't want to talk about it at all.
Oh I remember...really embarrassing.
