Would like to see Gillum and Cobb co-1,000 yd rushers.

I voted Gillum. Am viewing his success as a little bit of a test for JKill's ability to recognize B1G talent. Kill has chased this guy for 3 years. Was he right? I'm confident Kill will do just fine.

I voted for Rodrick Williams Jr. 5'10' and 237#. Runs low and with our huge OL he will surprise and hurt some Ds out there. The "where did that freight train come from" syndrome. RBs can break out as Freshmen. This is hard to predict, there are a bunch of solid candidates. The OL has to return to form. With their current size and shape they may be able to go 4 full quarters against legit BCS Ds.

So long as he stays healthy, Gray will lead the Gophs in rushing again. That said, our RB stable will be more capable than years past. Gillum, Kirkwood, and Cobb will all get their carries. Who knows what Maye ends up doing, but he's got a future.

Obligatory Kevin Whaley reference.

I'm still waiting for Devron Bostick to have that breakout year.:)

"Running back by committee" = Gray is leading rusher.

Took the words right out of my mouth!

Agreed.

After watching several practices and the one scrimmage that Gillum was involved in I came away underwhelmed by his performances. I'm hoping that the people who know a lot more than I do are right and that he gets stronger as the game goes on.

Maybe it's pessimistic, but I'm not expecting a ton more from Gillum than we got from Bennett last year. The staff just says the same things about Gillum that they said about Bennett last year (solid, capable blocker, etc.). I think, like Bennett, Gillum will probably be our steady influence but I don't imagine he'll be rushing for 1200 yards. I hope that I am wrong.

Gillum, very interested to see what he can do. I see Gray moving into more of a passing role this year.

Tweet from Marcus: "Coach Kill said after practicing today David Cobb isn't in the mix right now at RB because he's still learning blitz pick up. #Gophers"

Go Gophers!!

The day I went to practice, I walked away thinking #25 stood out. I was there for just a couple of hours and liked what I saw out of Devon Wright.
