Who is your Gophers MVP in the win at Northwestern?

Tanner just wins games for us. I am so happy to have him 2 more years. They are going to be fun years. Let's keep our axe now...

What is the Chicago gopher bar?

Tanner was mostly superb today as usual but my game balls go to Bateman and Johnson for making some incredible catches in traffic and showing insane athleticism. They are on a mission out there. 1000+ yards on the season for each of them, at the top of the Big Ten leaderboard to boot.

Tanner got my vote. To come through the concussion protocol this week and still have a pretty damn good game he deserves it.

I agree the wide receivers are amazing. PJ has them convinced 50/50 balls are all theirs.
But, those passes these guys caught today were amazingly placed in just the right spot with precision. It’s been incredible!! Admiration to all three! So fun to watch!

Went with Johnson. He had 7 catches, 125 yards, 17.9 ypc, 1 TD. Bateman had 7 catches, 78 yards, 11.7 ypc, 3 TDs. Great game, but I'm giving the slight edge to Johnson.

TM2 is the team MVP, no doubt. It almost goes without saying at this point. As he goes we go. It’s always hard to single out just one.

Tanner Morgan brought it right from the outset. It was a dangerous game with him being hurt last week and he set a great tone early. Receivers hands were like glue (Tyler J runner up and Bateman was great too).

My MVP is whoever got rid of that ugly white "M" on the helmet. That thing is the kiss of death.

Couldn't vote again this week. Team effort.

Best play of the game:

Morgan to Johnson with one minute to go in the 1st quarter.

Johnson was 1 on 5. FIVE. And Morgan hit him. WIDE OPEN.

Completely unbelievable.

How about the completion to Johnson on the sidelines...the one Morgan lobbed in there perfectly. The timing between the QB and these receivers is incredible. They aren’t always wide open, but either Morgan throws them open, or he just trusts that his receiver is the better athlete and will make the play. The ball placement has been really good on these timing patterns too. It’s too soon to know whether Morgan is an NFL caliber player, but those are NFL caliber throws.

Johnson looks about 2 feet taller than the other guys. They look like pee wees in that picture.

Gotta be Morgan, though closely followed by many others
