Ha! I've stayed there. Very nice. That's in what they call Center City or Uptown.222 E 3rd St, Charlotte, NC 28202 is the address to the team hotel.

Not showing as much ankle as in past seasons...Somewhat off topic: Today I was listening to the radio and they were interviewing the director of the Las Vegas Bowl who was talking about the swag that the participating teams would get. I guess that the players will be able to pick the design that they want on a pair of shoes that they will receive. The bowl director was pretty fired up and said that he had interviewed two coaches at a conference and both thought that "shoe idea" would go over well. The two coaches: Shane Beamer and PJ Fleck. Fleck seems to be pretty stylish. Go Gophers!
To clarify the post you replied to. The Gopher allotment is in the 300 level, that is the club level. They have a weird numbering system. The upper bowl is 500 level. 300 and 200 appear to be the same level, 300 is club seats.Ouch.
Car rental rates are also very good. If not done yet I advise going with Avis or Hertz. A little higher but usually not backed up at the counter. Beware though I experienced in May arriving at 11:30 PM at ATL and the entire rental fleet for everyone was rented. Zero cars. I lucked out and got a giant GMC truck at 1:30 AM but the lesson is to not arrive that late if you need a car. See you there. After ruling if out on Monday, I have talked myself in to going to the game.
The flights into Charlotte are OK at $400, but if you fly into Atlanta and drive 3.5 hours it is way better. I found a 100 dollar flight and and am driving 250 miles from ATL to Charlotte.
With the weather being in question back in Minneapolis, I'll enjoy the car trip from ATL to CTL.
I agree. I went with Dollar Car Rental once at CLT and had a bad experience. I guess I should have looked at their reviews before I did that.Car rental rates are also very good. Excellent question. We shall figure that outMaybe a better question- which downtown Charlotte bar is holding the unofficial gopher fan pregame for those of us taking a pass on the official AD party?
You can do Alamo and just check in online and never wait in line. Through Costco is usually cheaper too.Car rental rates are also very good. If not done yet I advise going with Avis or Hertz. $135/person…. Should I or shouldn’t I?Tailgate tickets went on sale and got two. So easy and fun to socialize with the fans with food, drinks and Goldy! Tailgate is right next to the stadium!
