Not a great bowl but I’m actually excited to go check it out! Never been to CLT, Bank of America Stadium and love to see our young men once more in person once more! Hopefully we’ll be blessed with decent weather 👍
 



Instead of waiting for Gophers allotment tickets at $139/each in the upper bowl to be assigned, I just bought tickets in the midfield lower bowl on our side in section 131-132 on Ticketmaster for only $181/each (plus fees).

Mobile transfer and instantly I have my tickets.

Do not buy from StubHub as the tickets there have more fees and more expensive!

American Airlines has a 155 flight…gets there about 530
 

Probably not any better but you can also fly to Raleigh. Like a 2 or 2.5 hr drive.

The team hotel is the Hilton Uptown but says sold out. Can still get into that hotel from Gopher Sports site but seems pretty steep as I booked one right next to it for a fraction of the price.

That's what we're doing as well. Looks like the Hilton Uptown is where the U reservations are but my work uses marriott so staying at the JW.

Anyone that's been to Charlotte have any food/booze and attraction recommendations??

Is the Hilton in question the one on Caldwell Street? I booked there pretty early last month, hedging on a bowl bid for Charlotte. Daughters last bowl as a Band kid and the whole family is going. My youngest wants an autograph for her Perich jersey so if the team is staying at the same place we are…
 

I actually live in Charlotte so I will be there representing the Gophers! We gotta show up and represent as VT presence will be big I am sure :)

So excited it landed here as I would never "travel" for one, my first and probably last bowl game!
 



Feel free to reach out to me for any local recs you may be looking for. I currently live downtown less than a block from the stadium but have come to know the city well. Restaurants, brewery's are a plenty and really easy city to visit for an extended weekend trip.

Perfect for a bowl game visit imo

Billds via Atlanta. Making it a week-long adventure visiting friends along the way.
 

Somewhat off topic: Today I was listening to the radio and they were interviewing the director of the Las Vegas Bowl who was talking about the swag that the participating teams would get. I guess that the players will be able to pick the design that they want on a pair of shoes that they will receive. The bowl director was pretty fired up and said that he had interviewed two coaches at a conference and both thought that "shoe idea" would go over well. The two coaches: Shane Beamer and PJ Fleck. Fleck seems to be pretty stylish. Go Gophers!
