Where are they now? - Ray Hitchcock talks Cretin, business and Gophers

I'll 2nd that - great interview! I really love these pieces, simply because I don't know Gopher history pre-1996, it gives me a glimpse into the past.

What a great success story - a great college player, goes onto win a Superbowl ring, actually goes back to finish his degree (to me, that is the most impressive), had a thriving career utilizing his connections, and gives his time to Cretin to help coach there. Great guy. I think my favorite answer was this very PC one:

GH: How much do you or the other Cretin coaches give Seantrel and others advice on their college decision?

Hitchcock: That’s a good question. If they ask I’ll talk to them about it, but it’s unfair to the student athlete for me as their coach to come up to sell Minnesota. If they ask I’ll talk for days about it, but it’s unfair to start the conversation. But guys know where I stand as I wear Minnesota clothes to practice everyday.

Another great feature! Keep 'em coming.

Go Gophers!!

You gotta love that Hitch wears Gopher clothes to practice every day. I respect that he doesn't push the U on the Cretin kids, but is there if they want advice!

Does anyone know if HS coaches can ever participate at team camps as instructors or is that off limits?
