I was at a Homecoming game vs Wisconsin, at the Metrodome. Goldie stole their large W flag, held it upside down, and ran toward the Gopher student section and the Gopher fans were loudly cheering. Then the Wisconsin cheer squad ran over, and took their flag back, as Goldy wiped his backside with their flag. Then Goldie ran toward the Wisconsin fan section of the stadium, raised his arms, and the Wisconsin fans threw a massive amount of the Homecoming mini footballs at him, and Goldy just stood there and kept his arms held high. That was amazing.
 



Fun thread - I am excited to read the responses.

I'm 39, been a fan for the last 30+ years.

Favorite memories:
1) My grandparents had season tickets for a long time and they would winter in Florida. They would leave November 1st and would always give my dad their tickets to all the November games.

2) The first 3 quarters of the 2003 Michigan/Minnesota game - felt like we made it.

3) Penn State game 2019 - Really changed the current state of Gopher football. First time I ever felt we had a real college football atmosphere in a game that truly mattered.
 




Following up on the 2019 PSU game, that seemed like the first time in my 20+ years of following the Gophs that the media was aligned with the program leading up to and after the game in terms of support, even among the typical detractors. It seems like it was forever ago.
 


Foggie beating Michigan and beating Penn State in 2019. I didn’t see the games when mason beat OSU or PSU or those would be up there too.
 





There are many.... The 83 game vs nebby while an absolute horrible game it is the first game I remember as a child.. I was 4.....
But I think my favorite memory is watching Eric decker get lit UP vs cal on the sideline... He's been my favorite player since.... That play was just..... Wow
 

The game sealing interception by Adekunle Ayinde in the 2016 Holiday Bowl vs. WSU.

Following all on the turmoil, controversy the occurred that season many people were down and not giving the Gophers a chance to win this one. Claeys coached a masterful defensive effort, this (almost pick 6) play sealed it. I don't think I was ever more animated during or after a football play.

 



No particular order: beating winning at pedo U in 99, winning the jug, beating Wisconsin and playing jump around. Probably a few others I’m forgetting.
 





1968 - Gophers vs USC and OJ Simpson (before he killed anyone).

I was there with my HS Band as part of Band Day. This was a promotion where HS Bands sat in the end zone and played along with the Gopher marching band at halftime.

It rained on and off during the 1st half. USC won 29-20 and Simpson had a big game. But the highlight was provided by the Gophers. after a USC TD, the Gophers ran a trick play on the ensuing kickoff - a cross-field lateral that turned into a KO Return for a TD.

there were over 60,000 people at the Brick House for the game. Incredible atmosphere.
 






Wisconsin in 1928.

Nursing cracked ribs, Nagurski wore a corset during the game to protect himself.

Despite the constrictive chest piece, Nagurski still outshined everyone on the field.

His stats that day included a fumble recovery, six consecutive runs to score the go-ahead touchdown and an interception to seal the Gophers’ victory.
 


Beating Wisconsin, knocking them out of the Big 10 championship game, and then playing their song on the field is way up there for me.

Probably should have finished higher after they beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
