Still room for improvement on play action and deep passes, but the running game got back on track today.

A-

Started off slow.....but once they started rolling.....they couldn't be stopped.

B

Obviously the run offense gets an A, but there is still quite a bit lacking in the passing attack that is going to hold this team back against better opponents

While your statement is true, the grade is for the Purdue game. They get an A in my book.

I said B based on the slow start and the continued issues in the passing game. We are not going to be able to run like that against most Big Ten teams, but it was great to see today. Offense really needs to figure out how to start getting some points during the first quarter somehow, take a little pressure off the D by getting out in front of someone.

It was a tale of two halves: the run-run, pass little but with good effect (2 TDs) worked like old times in the second half -but remember this was against a now 1-5 team giving up the most points per game in the B14. I'm not sure we could engineer such a half against Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State, Wisconsin or Nebraska. I'm not confident we can run against those teams.
