What grade would you give the Gophers coaching in the embarrassing loss to Northwestern?

So many coaching errors but the shocking one is why not kick the 54 yard field goal to end it versus punt it. The field goal is likely over 50% of the time. If it misses they are on the 37. The likelihood that we will punt it and not have a touchback is also 50%. If it's a touchback it's effectively a 17 yard punt. The only good part of our special teams is kick offs and field goal kicks...not punting (or returning or...)

F, Northwestern has an interim head coach who has never been a head coach at any level. PJ and staff looked liked they had never coached a team before.

If you’re planning on playing prevent defense on that last drive you should have gone for it 4th and 3 at the NW 35 and end the game if you get the first down.

I agree. 4th and 3 on the 35. Get the first down, you win the game. No tying score. No OT.
