I mean that a F. 100% a F.

There is zero chance that Iowa is athletically that much smarter, stronger, faster than the Gophers.

Iowa has better Effort, Attitude, Preparation, Resilience, Selflessness, Toughness, Determination, Grit - all things that are controllable.

That’s coaching.

Not going to grade the players. Coaches are a clear F. Most B1G coaches are playing chess. Ours seem to be playing checkers. And whatever message PJ is giving the team before Iowa games must stop, Iowa came out, as usual, like hungry wolves about to devour a flock of confused sheep: prepared, confident, swashbuckling and with a good game plan. Gophs came out like a flock of sheep: unprepared, unconfident, and tentative .., with a poor, painfully transparent (to Iowa) game plan. Iowa beat us as badly as Ohio State did. And Iowa laid off in much of the second half. Iowa’s roster is better than Minnesota’s, but not that much better. Iowa’s coaches are the difference. A big difference.

I-Incomplete. Did the wrong team go to Iowa City? Not PJs best....for nearly 8 mil a year and in Year 9, is this the best you can put on the field? Quit if you are going to coach scared. The players see that and if they see the coach's is scared, what do think is going to happen? No one seemed hyped up that this was a rivalry and trophy game. You can have all the slogans and catch phrases you want, but this loss is all on coaching.

There’s no way you give that effort anything but an F straight across the board.

It looked to me like Iowa had much better, stronger, tougher, athletic players compared to us. And, like you said, our coaching sucks. The Purdue game established for me that we're not very good. I wasn't surprised by this beat down. It'll be a challenge to win one more imho.

Winning is better.

Obviously.

But there is really no excuse for losing this bad in Year 8 (or 9 for the rest of us) in an HC's tenure to a rival like I-O-W-A.

There aren't enough excuses to bridge the reality between the two programs.

4 more games to go. Hopefully 5.

F. The Gophers looked like they were not ready to play and Iowa (and its fans) looked like they were high on something. No contest. Humiliation. We have one running back - if he's out, that's it (and he's the only running back who can catch the ball). We don't have the depth to play in an 18-team league. The defense showed some flashes of its best self, but interceptions, mistakes, sacks, and the almost inhuman drive/spirit of the Iowa players made it a runaway loss - one of the worst in the series.

F, game was a total flop by the coaching staff, especially Harbaugh. Harbaugh is not a good coach. His play calling today was atrocious

I was tempted to give a D- because the second half was better than the first, but that would have been charity. This game sucked. When you make Iowa look like Ohio State, you have sucked royally.
The second half was when we got schooled by the second stringers, who were in because the first stringers go tired of toying with us.

Iowa started getting chippy and cheap-shotty because we couldn't stop them from doing so. We could have been bullied by Ned Flanders or Ross Geller with the way we played today.

Easy F in this one across the board. D didn't play horrible but still allowed Iowa to get too much early in the game.

Bold: thoughts on Nebraska game, then?

That's a Nebraska team that just beat NW, who beat Purdue
