Students being charged money to pay the players driving around campus in Corvette’s, Raptor’s and TRX’s.
What?

Better not be, because that's fucked.

It's time to completely separate big time college athletics from the university.

I did love that Cal linebacker who was always smiling. That's a good dude right there. I can see why he is the only captain they have.

The third and short just before the missed field goal to tie it at 17, pretty sure the offense is so predictable that Cal ran a defense to stop that play, the loss of yardage pretty much moved them out of field goal range, I have to think that is on the coaching and play calling and not the players.
It wasn't 3rd and short. It was 3rd and 7.
RUTM there was gutless, play for a FG attempt (with a shaky kicker), loser football.

A coaching grade (all three phases) above F for this game is starry-eyed fanboy crooning.

I wonder if there might be a chemistry problem on the coaching staff?
Maybe it's mediocre pay and/or a toxic environment working under PJ?

Gave it a C.

Still a chance to win the game until the two-way player made one of the dumbest plays ever.

The trick play call in the 1st half was a horrendous call.
Let's all be honest, if that trick play had worked, we'd be saying it was a genius call. It's a hero or zero call.

The point is there is no reason to call that play at that time. If it was a good play call it would have had a better result. As soon as Perich backs up 3 yards to receive the pass everyone knows he’s passing. It was so obvious. If you’re going to run a pass like that do it from a back in the backfield on a handoff or toss. I think it was 2nd and 3 and we were gashing them. It was a horrendous call. It highlights how bad of a playcller he is once they get to the 30. It was a desperation call that was wildly out of the realm of the drive.

You could say that about any head coach/boss.
Ideally, a boss recognizes the strengths and personalities of their subordinates and puts them in a position to be successful. Whenever ive been in a management role, my main mantra was that I wanted to know my people well enough to be the manager each of them needed, not expect them to be something they're not to fit my style.

Right, but even though you tried to do that, I'm sure some people didn't like your style. No offense to you, it's just human nature.

And the people that claim PJ is so hard to work for, how do they even know what PJ or other head coaches are like as a boss??? It's just total speculation.

"Twice as much - half as well"

What is our identity? Cal showed us to be a little bit slow or non-athletic in some places. We probably needed to see that to correct some weaknesses. This was the game to potentially use Drake a lot more and we went back to RUTM way too often. Identify your best players and use them please. I think that was Drake last night on Offense. What was he allowed to do? not much.... Just way too Vanilla. Btw - and not last night as poorly as he played - but if you wish to use Koi on a Trick play, put an option package in for him to emphasize running the ball.

So your theory is that acronyms make it a hard place to work? Hate to break it to you but there are a lot of employers that use lots of acronyms.
I don't think elite coordinators wanna deal with all the extras that come with working for PJ. And I love PJ, hope he's here the next 20 years.

Like I posted, hero or zero call.
Agree. It was risky. Probably not executed very well. But the same people that are complaining about the vanilla playbook are some of the same people complaining about that play call.

Assistant coaching at this level and the NFL is mostly a nomad work life, so there's nothing ideal about it.
