What?Students being charged money to pay the players driving around campus in Corvette’s, Raptor’s and TRX’s.
Better not be, because that's fucked.
It's time to completely separate big time college athletics from the university.

It wasn't 3rd and short. It was 3rd and 7.The third and short just before the missed field goal to tie it at 17, pretty sure the offense is so predictable that Cal ran a defense to stop that play, the loss of yardage pretty much moved them out of field goal range, I have to think that is on the coaching and play calling and not the players.
We were bigger, stronger, and faster that that Cal team and we helped them beat us.
Let's all be honest, if that trick play had worked, we'd be saying it was a genius call. It's a hero or zero call.Gave it a C.
Still a chance to win the game until the two-way player made one of the dumbest plays ever.
The trick play call in the 1st half was a horrendous call.
Agree. I was there. We aren’t faster. And the Cal QB’s release after recognition was really impressive live,Not faster.
The point is there is no reason to call that play at that time. If it was a good play call it would have had a better result. As soon as Perich backs up 3 yards to receive the pass everyone knows he’s passing. It was so obvious. If you’re going to run a pass like that do it from a back in the backfield on a handoff or toss. I think it was 2nd and 3 and we were gashing them. It was a horrendous call. It highlights how bad of a playcller he is once they get to the 30. It was a desperation call that was wildly out of the realm of the drive.Let's all be honest, if that trick play had worked, we'd be saying it was a genius call. It's a hero or zero call.
You could say that about any head coach/boss.Only certain guys can tolerate working under PJ, so yes, it is Fleck.
Ideally, a boss recognizes the strengths and personalities of their subordinates and puts them in a position to be successful. Whenever ive been in a management role, my main mantra was that I wanted to know my people well enough to be the manager each of them needed, not expect them to be something they're not to fit my style. You could say that about any head coach/boss.
Right, but even though you tried to do that, I'm sure some people didn't like your style. No offense to you, it's just human nature.Ideally, a boss recognizes the strengths and personalities of their subordinates and puts them in a position to be successful. PJ has a unique personality and culture relative to other football programs. You could say that about any head coach/boss.
So do a lot of head coaches and bosses.PJ has a unique personality and culture relative to other football programs.
No other coach uses more than one acronym. So do a lot of head coaches and bosses.
So your theory is that acronyms make it a hard place to work? Hate to break it to you but there are a lot of employers that use lots of acronyms. No other coach uses more than one acronym.
I don't think elite coordinators wanna deal with all the extras that come with working for PJ. And I love PJ, hope he's here the next 20 years. So your theory is that acronyms make it a hard place to work? Hate to break it to you but there are a lot of employers that use lots of acronyms.
I would venture it has way more to do with our coordinator pay than it does acronyms. We can't afford top coordinators.I don't think elite coordinators wanna deal with all the extras that come with working for PJ. And I love PJ, hope he's here the next 20 years.
As long as we’re being honest it didn’t work so…Let's all be honest, if that trick play had worked, we'd be saying it was a genius call. It's a hero or zero call.
Like I posted, hero or zero call.As long as we’re being honest it didn’t work so…
Agree. It was risky. Probably not executed very well. But the same people that are complaining about the vanilla playbook are some of the same people complaining about that play call.Like I posted, hero or zero call.
Assistant coaching at this level and the NFL is mostly a nomad work life, so there's nothing ideal about it.Ideally, a boss recognizes the strengths and personalities of their subordinates and puts them in a position to be successful.
