What grade would you give Gophers coaching in the win over Purdue?

I gave a D. We won despite how we played. 2 facemasks from Purdue and a very good Pick 6 from Koi is what got us the win. The rest of the game was painful to watch.
 

C. Gopher coaches decide to transition to a pure-play passing offense right when the refs decide passing defense should be officiated like the 1970s. Big plays from big players save the W, which is nice.
 






A plethora of mistakes on both sides of the ball, but individual player efforts on defense won the day. That said, coaches deserve credit for some clutch stops when it mattered most and righting the ship on offense when we needed it. I give it a C
 






Went D. Second game where I've gone more negative than the general trend. Something is amiss as I really try to look on the bright side.

I can give Drake mostly a pass.

Again, whatever is happening in the Defense's Room is not going well.
 





B-, only because somehow we won. We had no business winning this game. O-Line cant get push in a china shop and the D-Line technique and schemes leave something to be desired. Koi made amends for the Cal game, Drake chugged for a 1st down, and plays were made when needed.

Without those two facemasks, I doubt if we win. Couldn't believe it especially the 2nd one. First time I've gone with a D also.

This you cannot usually grade less than a C for a win. Was disappointed that Purdue played with far more effort and passion, executed their game plan better than the Gophers. Your never as good as or as bad as you think. Gophers have very limited margin of error. The Gophers won the turnover game and that won them the game.

Margin of error is correct.
 

A

The mission of beating the Boilers was accomplished by TAKING what the Boilers gave this Gopher Team. That is a pretty damn important thing to do on a night when things ate not going so perfectly. For that: I give every Gopher involved in this victory an A.

Now: on to the game with the Hiskers on Friday. Beat the stinking Hisker Gopher Team.
 

C. In game coaching was better than Rutgers game. Some of the issues seemed to be the players this game. No line push at all. Tackling bad. Receivers not getting separation, Lindsey not quite as sharp.
 

C. We won. Other than that I have concerns about coaching on both sides of the ball. From toughness, to coordinators calling the right plays and players knowing their assignments.
 


C. Tackling is the worst since Brewster. Offensive line needs mucho work. Defensive line underperforms. But they won, so there ya go.
 


I can’t totally fault coaches when players are clearly just not executing.
