went B. put together a good gameplan to be able to run the ball the best we have in awhile. got a little too conservative at times however (you have to have some guts to win this kind of game and can't rely on FGs). 1st trick play was a nice call and time for it. second was horrible.

B
The team fought hard and played their hearts out. A few bad breaks. Wish they could have pulled it out

Contrarian as I am went with an A. Since this is a coaches poll, fact is Franklin was glad to get out of there with the W. As usual played 'em tough and it was defense that kept us in the game. Offense had its chances but overall coaching was not bad.

C. The play calling when we were on the 7 yard line was an F, thus bringing down their final grade to a C. Why didn't they run the same plays that have been successful in that situation earlier in the season? It was a colossal failure in my opinion. So upset. Feel really bad for the players. Harbaugh let them down, big time. Meanwhile, Penn St. OC was great at getting 44 open at will. Why can't we do that? Oh well, please kill Bucky next week.

I voted A for a good game plan that could have won the game except for 2 mistakes and the Refs Penn State assist on the phantom PI call on an uncatchable ball.

Went with a B. Given how lopsided the game was expected to be, i thought our overall gameplan was good on offense and defense. That trick play touchdown pass was well designed and well timed right after the PSU punt that was so bad it should have counted as a turnover (couldn't tell from my seat if it was partially blocked).

Some head scratchers at weird times, especially the sequence where we had 1st and goal at the 7 with a chance to take the lead, kept it from being an A.

I voted B. Could have been A.

Brosmer made 5 mistakes. Int, fumble and 3 key misses to open receivers. Wish we would have played for a fake at the end. Such an entertaining game.

Thats why I went C. Penn St played base D on our field goal, they were ready for fake.

C
4th and Goal at the 8 down 4 points with a few minutes left. Go for it coach. I knew it was over when they settled for the field goal. Can't be conservative against top 10 teams.

Once we got to 4th and goal at the 8, I was fine with the decision to kick. I was more frustrated with how we used 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down to get to stuck on the 8 yard line on fourth down. Also, if the special teams would have been more alert and prepared on the fake, we would have gotten the ball back in field goal range already, and the fg decision would have looked really good.

Felt like the whole stadium knew a fake was coming except the ST unit and PJ. Don’t know how how you’re not in punt safe there given you don’t need a big return and we weren’t bringing pressure

I’ve only seen the highlights but my buddies tell me that everybody in America except for PJ knew the fake was coming and for us to get gashed in the situation like that for 32 yards was inexcusable. If that’s the case, then I don’t know how we can give as many A’s and Bs as I see here.

Still give the A but agree that it just didn't look right as they finally lined up. Apparently though it is Coach's call each 4th down as to whether to explicitly play for a fake or not. Coach's individual call in that circumstance is an F. Truly a brain fart if there ever was one.

B. Would have been an A except for inexcusably not having the punt return team ready for a fake when the team absolutely had to get the ball back to win.

you want to feel more frustrated? go back and watch the broadcast and you can see the snapper is angled directly at the guy he snaps it to and with his legs bent to make the angle possible. given PJ directly mentioned pregame being aware that they may try pull a fake, it's just painfully oblivious given the situation of needing next to nothing where you don't even need a good fake but instead they were all just painfully unaware. you can burn the timeout there as you're in 4 down territory for the game anyway with loads of time if you get the ball punted to you

Just heard on KFAN that PJ is 8 and 24 in Big Ten games against teams with winning records. If true, I don’t know what to make of that.
