Wells Injury

Looked like a hamstring and he was in street clothes by the time the game was over. Hopefully it isn't too bad, but this just isn't very surprising considering Derrick's injury history. It's too bad.

I hope Wells is OK. With that said, BBC is a better CB anyway. Give him time to heal, no need to rush him back.

It was a matter of not "if" but "when" for me going into the season regarding how his health status will play out during the season. Had to figure he would miss some time with his history. Hopefully the off week makes a difference.

Wells burst onto the scene and was looking like he had the potential to be a great player for us but it honestly seems like all the injuries have taken a major toll on him to the point where he is pretty much just a roll player at this point. I wish him the best and hope he can heal up and get back on the field for Northwestern but at this point the secondary and defense seem to be just fine without him.

He's been starting over BBC & Myrick. Hardly just a role player.

No reason to believe he'd injure his hamstring, just because he had a bad shoulder in the past. He finally got the surgery he needed & the proper rehab period. If BBC breaks his arm, was it predictable because he had a knee injury last season?

Never good to lose a Sr, starting CB. The good news is we're stacked at CB & there's little/no drop off to Myrick/BBC/James.

It's predictable because he is always injured. If it's not one thing it's another. Surely, you know people like that.

^^^ This.

But it's not always one thing or another. It was his shoulder that's kept him out. Then, he re-injured his shoulder because he tried to play for us without surgery or rehabbing it properly. How that proves he was going to pull a hammy makes no sense. I get that's it's easy to label people injury prone, but it's not a well thought out approach.
