Week 9 Other Games Thread

Ashton Jeanty looks almost human by rushing being held to only 128 yards as Boise St defeats UNLV 29-24.

USC/Rutgers was supposed to kick off at 10pm local time.

We are 3 hours in and the 3rd quarter is not yet complete.

So sick of this.

16/27 for 209 and 1 TD

But USC is also down their top 2 corners.
they're down about 5 guys in the secondary and every single drive features the AK we all know and love. Extreme fastballs on check downs, sailing balls out of bounds or deep, drilling an out in, and then wildly missing on a crucial down. it's just so damn hard to watch

watching Rutgers really makes one wonder at what point schiano starts to feel his seat get warmer. will have not won more than 7 games in 5 seasons at this point should this season continue on the path it is now. rutgers is in very fertile recruiting ground and can sell the big ten. this style is just so painfully boring i don't see how anyone would want to play there.
Indiana’s success has to up the pressure a bit, Purdue coach has to be feeling it big time.

really intrigued to see the 11A B10 slate with seeing how Nebby responds to getting shit on by Indy and OSU having a bye week to think about that Oregon loss. expect both teams to be better but have no idea if this turns into a dog fight or OSU just curb stomps them.

Indy and Wash interesting with Rourke out. Jackson looked really good last week but only played when the game was already a blowout. Rogers is also pretty good throwing the ball so is it a spot you see Indiana reading their headlines a little too much?

watching what football decides is a catch/no catch and taking extended reviews to do it constantly is just painful. really tough one for Nebby to get overturned there

My wife's family are big Notre Dame fans. I told them America will hate them even more if they ruin the chances of an undefeated Army vs Navy matchup. They're up 21-7 on Navy.

idk it would be hard to dislike the holier than thou ND team and fanbase, though this might do it

Hard to imagine drumming up more hate for them, but you’re probably right.

oof. nebby just got absolutely fucked at OSU with a ball spot that's going to take away their ability to score a TD here before the half. then they add a horrible PI call against Nebraska and now they won't get their short shot to kick a FG. And people say there's no conspiracy for the top tier teams.

Edit: got into range for a 55+ yarder. and he makes it. If i'm rhule i would've absolutely gone beserk on the refs.

Yeah, it’s honestly sickening. There is NO WAY the official missed the view of the runner. Completely unobstructed view. Then the phantom offensive PI. Somebody needs to be fired at halftime. This after a similar incident at the Michigan game just last week that was incorrect even after video review.

Ohio State just ain’t it this year. Despite loads of help from the officials they lost in Eugene, and they are struggling versus Nebraska at home..

Does that mean you are willing to pick Indiana to beat OSU? Hoosiers have looked good today against a team I thought they'd struggle with. It was sad to see open seats in Bloomington with an undefeated #13 team in the nation...

I thought it was a sellout?

that is also exactly the spot replay stops the play literally anywhere else in the country and corrects it. 14-10 is much much different. It's just mind boggling with the willingness to stop so many plays that this would've been one the NFL does an expedited review and it takes 10 seconds to get it right. I get it, guys make mistakes live. But ffs you have replay and it's not like nebby got the next snap off in 10 seconds where you just didn't have time.

On OSU, this team should be blowing the doors off of other teams. don't really understand what they're doing offensively (Chip Kelly looks like he either has completely lost all his creativity he had back in his Oregon days or Day is restricting it) with playing this slow plodding style.

well it's at buckeye stadium so that's the difficult to account for X factor is exactly how much the refs tilt the field in OSUs favor.

Nebraska threatening to go up on tOSU after a big interception. I don't want to root for Nebraska, but it's always nice to see the Buckeyes get knocked on their ass.

my god osu is such an embarrassment of riches that they spoil over and over. nebby with a huge chance to take the lead

Wow, Nebraska gets 1st and goal at the 8 and comes away with zero points after four straight running plays.

If Nebbie beats the Suckeyes, is it the beginning of the end for Day?

Good point. I'd definitely hedge towards IU with a healthy Rourke on a neutral field.
