Week 13 Other Games Thread

Hoosiers go up on 14-7 on Michigan. Better game to watch...

Going to lose the TD on review.... 2nd and goal..

Nebraska putting Maryland away early. Up 17-0 in first quarter.

Purdue is so close to making some big plays. They look a little hesitant.

The Georgia Fighting Talons are getting taken to the woodshed today...

Down 35-10 to Arkansas St...

Indiana looking good. Too bad so few people show up for their games. This is the biggest game for them in a very long time.

This second group of announcers on Fox are god awful.

Well that's an interesting development. Purdue goes up on Sconnie

Purdue making Sconnie look silly. Brohm is not above trickery and receiving tight ends. Love it.

Why wasn't Taylor out on that last drive for Sconnie? Did he get dinged up on his long td run?

Nebraska putting Maryland away early. Up 17-0 in first quarter.
Darn. I didn't want them to think they could still get bowl eligible this season, going into the home game against Iowa. I wanted them dejected and deflated, and well on their way to another 4-8 season.

Oh well, I guess 5-7 will have to do. No bowl.

Wisconsin tacks on 3 before the half on a 62 yard FG by their kickoff specialist. I've seen unknown hundreds of field goals, and that one was the closest I've even seen to the bottom corner of the goal.

Don't be surprised if Nebraska knocks off Iowa next Friday at Lincoln. That would make their season and put them in a bowl.

Thought I heard we are short on bowl teams again. Could be some 5-7 teams going. Don't they choose the 5-7 teams by most pending felony court actions?

Wisconsin solidly up on Purdue. Good
I want Gophers to earn the West title, by *winning* it !!

Disappointed Michigan is so far up on Indiana. Really thought this might be a signature win for Hoosiers program, and would make "The Game" less interesting.

Love all the people cheering for Purdue to win.

I mean, clearly it must be unlikely that we’d beat Wisconsin in a game! So our only hope is to back into the West title, having lost to Iowa and Wisc, and beat all the other crappy Big Ten teams on our schedule!
Even if the Gophers had a 90% chance of winning next week, isn’t a 100% chance of winning the division going into next week better than 90%?

It just doesn't sit right with me ... the idea that we lose to both Iowa and Wisconsin, who both had better records against the West division, and played a close slug-fest against each other ... yet we still "win" the division, because we got the easier cross-division draw.

Doesn't sit well with me, is all. My opinion ain't worth jack. You know that. Everyone else does too. No need to throw out insults, just because you don't like someone else's opinion. (You did not ... but I know others want to badly, or will)

if that was the case we wouldn’t have won the division because of who we played in the East.
Both us and Wisconsin are 2-1 vs the East.

if Wisconsin lost to Purdue and Illinois it would sit badly with you because we beat Maryland?

Everything I said here is wrong and I’m dumb

I don't follow you.

This is the hypothetical scenario I'm talking about:
- Wisconsin loses to Purdue (as people were rooting for)
- Gophers lose to Wisconsin
- Iowa beats Nebraska

West final standings:
Minnesota 7-2 (10-2) W: NW, Nebraska, Purdue, Illinois,, Rutgers, Maryland, Penn St -- L: Iowa, Wisc
Wisconsin 6-3 (9-3) W: NW, Nebraska, Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota,, Michigan, Mich St -- L: Illinois, Purdue,, Ohio St
Iowa 6-3 (9-3) W: NW, Nebraska, Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota,, Rutgers -- L: Wisc,, Mich, Penn St

In both cases, Wisconsin and Iowa have an extra Big Ten loss because they got an extra difficult game in cross-division from the East.

Yeah see my next post

Badgers doing their best to keep Purdue in game with 4 TO's. Purdues defense is just not very good and can't get any stops.

Arkansas only down 7-3 vs LSU. Arkansas playing well now with their coach fired.

LSU now leading 21-6.
Things back to normal.

KU just finished the decade 0-43 in Big 12 road games. That's not good.

Go Gophers!!

Pretty low chances of a top 10 matchup next week. Need 2 of 3 of Oregon, Oklahoma, Utah to lose.

Nobody will drop PSU behind UW after PSU lost closer in Columbus. Not sure they’d drop any of those other teams. Probably looking at nine versus twelve in CFP rankings.

Man, I haven't watched much Oregon this year. Perhaps they're playing their worst game of the year, but they don't look very impressive. ASU offense has made them look slow and undisciplined with weak play action swing passes to the RB that they break for huge gains. ASU QB clearly can't read a D at all. Oregon dominating on the ground, but Herbert throwing off his back foot a lot. I don't know...they just look out of sorts.
