Holy this is getting ugly.
Pretty amazing hearing all the stuff that Johnson went through after the injury. Amazing that he is walking again much less healed up enough to go play football.Max Johnson is in, good to see him playing again after the injury against the Gophers last year
Hell, it's even odds that even his granddau ... er ... girlfriend feels bad for him.Rough intro to college football for BB.....don't think there will be many that feel bad for him though....![]()
I don't feel good or bad that Belichick got boat raced...BUT, I am really surprised TCU scored 48 points. Defense is what the man is supposed to be famous for. He had plenty of time to coach em up.Glad to see Belichick get just demolished in his debut

Scott Frost hosts UNC in game 3. Will one of them garner some redemption? I just said I didn't care one way or the other about Belichick....ha...so why am I rooting for Frost to win? Dunno
Did you tailgate out there? I have heard it can be underwhelming for Canes gamesGot back today from Miami where my rat pack and I attended last night’s game. Hadn’t been to Hard Rock since the Micron PC Bowl. The parking logistics were nightmarish and unorganized, and stadium ingress and egress are not great. The in stadium experience was pretty good as it was full (and so were many fans . . . .) and of course the history between the teams is well documented. It was as much a club rave as it was a college football game. It was, well, Miami. The high volume and unrelenting persistence of the thumping music offered up by the in-house DJ (yes), wore on me a little, frankly, despite musically weaning myself on Led Zep “to 11”. It had the desired effect on their fandom, however, and was especially encouraging to the temperature-appropriately clad Cane coeds, that certainly must be otherwise distracting to academic pursuits. In total, a good college football game between 2 (and I hate this term) helmet schools. View attachment 38642View attachment 38643
Those stats seem a little arbitrary .. but I'm not opposed to piling on.
Tailgating scene was ‘meh’ overall. We had a group of 6, and given the heat, opted to ‘tailgate indoors’ on the way to the game, and not having to haul anything there and back. Turns out,the 2 separate 10-minute full-on cloudbursts would have been more complicating. General take is that they were largely unprepared parking and logistics/flow-wise for such a large crowd, and noting it was the 1st game of the year. Makes the few and minor grumbles I have only occasionally about our Gopher Gameday experience seem trivial. Perhaps having a team play in an off-campus, remote, pro stadium is not a very good idea.Did you tailgate out there? I have heard it can be underwhelming for Canes games
