Best team I’ve seen today.NMSU looks unbeatable.
Grass until '14If I recall, when the Gophers were battling the Aggies on Aggievision, their field was natural grass. Looks like it is turf now.
This is the only place on earth where one can find out the year New Mexico State switched from grass to turf within minutes of calling it out. Way ahead of ESPN (again) tonight.
You might be right. I just saw this that said 4th of 6 in the west.Is that accurate. I thought they were supposed to be quite bad after everyone went to CSU

Jerry Kill’s first points as the coach of NMSU come in the form of a safety!2-0 Aggies!!! Juggernaut!!!
I want to gouge my eyes out watching this game!Jerry Kill’s first points as the coach of NMSU come in the form of a safety!
Who's staying up tonight to scout the Aggies and ol Jer?
This is my takeaway as well. Granted, I still think the Gophers are going to roll in this game, but I don't necessarily think this NMSU team will be the worst team in the country by the end of the year. They look like a G5 team. QB has above average athleticism but he’s not going to kill you with his arm. Defense looks meh. MN “should” be able to move the lin, move ball on ground but we know how that goes. The only thing that can defeat MN is MN. They don’t look as bad as advertised, I’ll allow.
Any given day a bad G5 team can beat a poorly coached sleepwalking P5.
Offense looked pretty decent before the delay. Lot of horizontal movement. Short passes taking advantage of zone coverage. The New Mexico State offense is awful
Blunt. But true. These teams are both f****** awful. My goodness
I’ve only watched after the delay but they might have more turnover than yards post delayOffense looked pretty decent before the delay. Lot of horizontal movement. Short passes taking advantage of zone coverage.
I spoke too soon.Nevada is expected to be middle of the pack in the Mountain West but New Mexico St doesn't look too bad so far.
They missed a chip shot field goal and have gifted Nevada like four (now five) straight turnovers. Rossi's defense is going to roll this team, but they aren't _that_ bad. Y'all have to keep in mind the perspective on this team is that they would be the worst FBS team in the country. That's what's priced into the 38-point line. They do not look like the _worst_ team in the country.NMST is absolutely terrible! They haven’t even scored on their own! Nevada gave them their 2 points. If we don’t demolish them 70-0 on Thursday, I’d be surprised and disappointed.
By the end of this game, Nevada will be rolling over NMST 45-2.
Any vertical passes? I remember that element was a foreign concept during his gopher years.Offense looked pretty decent before the delay. Lot of horizontal movement. Short passes taking advantage of zone coverage.
Two, both were ints, and very inaccurate.Any vertical passes? I remember that element was a foreign concept during his gopher years.
