My gut tells me that its time for breakfast and also that Hawkins will have a great visit and is M/G! Ben and staff have been hard at it and are due for a break.
I agree. A player changing their mind is seemingly automatically blamed on the coach trying to recruit them. And sometimes it is...but sometimes players are indecisive when it comes to making a big decision like this. Pride seemed like a lock to come here but decided that he'd rather play closer to home. That's not Ben's fault. That being said, I really hope he can grab Hawkins after this visit. The biggest thing this team needs is depth and ball handling.

Lots of people are indecisive. Where is NYC when you need help on closing the sale to an indecisive buyer?

With NYC, it's pretty easy, he's either sleeping or embarrassing himself by posting outdated memes on social media. About 95% of his life falls into one of those camps.

Prolly out at Canterbury for the Derby watch party. Ben's springing for mint julips for Hawkins' entire posse.

Just dont pay for any wagers, Ben. That'd be a biiiiiigggggg no-no.

Sometimes you can offer them NYC and they still end up thinking playing in their backyard is better suited for them

Basking in the Twins first place 🥇 and 17 game consecutive homer streak - franchise record. Chicks did the longball

Great weekend to bring new recruits out on the town.

What a joke of a story. Quoted one concerned parent listing off a bunch of incidents but only mentions video of one assault. Then has a cop make some general statements. Sensational journalism at its worst. I'd be shocked if recruits know anything about any incidents this weekend or even read local Minnesota network news.

Not an isolated incident. I hope you're right and prospective players and their parents ignore violent crime when making their decision whether or not to come to Minneapolis.

Maybe we should be talking about what a bad thing it is that this happened. How would you like to be the person that got stomped out by 10-15 people? The video shows it. I bet it wouldn't be a joke of a story then. I hope that the police are allowed to and can clean up this kind of thing and prevent it from ever happening again.

So fights just started happening on college campuses during huge party weekends??

I've seen worse at every college I attended - including the U.

I'm gonna venture to guess this isn't the first time you've been pushing this "Minneapolis is sooo dangerous" narrative on this board.

You can think it has no impact on recruiting and I can have my opinion. Not trying to get off topic. I thought it was relevant that a recruit could have been walking around dinkytown when someone was being stomped on by a mob.

I don't think it impacts a kid who has attended college in Washington, DC. Much bigger dangers than a mob fight in many parts of DC.
