With the Dome roof collapsing, I wonder if there will be any discussion of this. Outdoor game on Monday night in Minnesota would be interesting.

Now that would ne interesting. Why not. What other options are there. Move to Indy....no.

The way the NFL is, it wouldn't shock me if they moved it to Indy or Chicago. I hope not. If they move it to TCF it will sell out. If they move it anywhere else (Other then NY) it won't draw 50,000 anyway.

Why not have it at the Bank? They would be playing outside anyway if they were at the Giants. What do you think would prevent the league from having it at TCF, that would be awesome.

Move it to tues and get national tv coverage. As of original mon plan-would be shown in mn and ny market only.

And have Fox preempt Glee? Actually, I'm sure they'd love it, but it would probably only be allowed in the MSP/NY either way.

Admission; what or who the hell is Glee?

Haha. To be politically incorrect, a fairly popular show watched primarily by women and non-straight guys. Then again they have selected it to run after the Super Bowl, which makes it seem an odd choice.

It's way simpler to just play away games than to solve the alcohol/not enough seats/no employed event staff etc. issues that would arise.

Are we that removed from Katrina that we forget protocol on these sort of things?

The entire city of NO was a disaster and they literally had nowhere to play. This is not even close to the same thing?

How does this benefit the U? How about $500k plus we keep all concession and parking revenues. Also, no alterations to the stadium. The Vikings treated the U like garbage for decades, so why help them out now?

It would be awesome to watch them play a game there. Sounds like it could be moved to Detroit? Barf. No one wants to watch a Vikings-Giants game in Detroit.

Nice attitude. The MSFC is a public body. TCF was built with public funds. Get over your bitterness.

And nobody wants sixty thousand obnoxious vikings fans on campus.

Move it to Wrigley, I heard half court football was the new wave.

Mortenson espn reporting many issues.

Tv rights, espn exclusive rights for monday nite game
Direct Tv
Giant did not travel with cold weather gear.
Fox tv equipment already in Detroit

My guess is Detroit

Another (sarcastic) option:

1932 - Due to a snow storm the Chicago Bears played the 1932 championship game inside the Chicago Stadium against the Portsmouth Spartans (later the Detroit Lions). The Bears won 9–0 on an 80 yard dirt field.

From Wikipedia.

The ticker on the NFL network says they're exploring TCF Bank Stadium or another domed NFL stadium.

When Dave Mona starts off the Sports Huddle today by stating the dome roof has gone down, do you think Sid will know about it yet.
